I hope Artie has a change of heart. The right coach can win immediately because there is some very good returning talent and depth everywhere except the secondary.

I'm confused with Coley. It seems every game he's coming off the field limping or holding something at least once.

I don't think that's ever a good idea. If Butch is going to come in he should do so with his staff and the players trained his way. It'd suck to have him come in and lose a few games with the current staff and look bad to recruits.

Surprised as well, administration had a free opportunity to see what he can do, in a tough situation, with no strings attached. Not surprised that they facked that up too.
 
The guy with that would go first is Grace...His speed at the combine would qualify him as a no-brainer.. Would absolutely have the fastest time of any linebacker...
 
Grace is going to be problems if used correctly in the NFL. Perfect player to deploy against the spread.

That's true as well but would've been interesting, none the less. You're right, though not a fair situation for him, especially with Grohlden's scrubs
 
the only ones out of them that should declare is artie given his current situation. If all of them stay another year, artie and coley have potential to be 1st round choices come the 2017 draft.
 
I'm in the corner to believe none of them will get drafted besides Burns.

The rest of them won't be drafted.

Think Charlie would be a good hire with the right OC. He already been know prior to Texas for his hard nose defense. And after these last 2 years at Texas I know that hunger to prove the doubters wrong would be in him.

Some team will draft Coley. Grace is tricky but if used like a Kam Chancelor is used he could flourish as well. Hybrid SS/LB. But both will lose money leaving early.

Look, that 4th bullet point in the OP sounds ridiculous on the surface...why the **** would Chud, a current NFL coordinator, come back to Miami and make a lateral move...essentially taking the same position but at the college level? A job, mind you, he ALREADY has held.

It just sounds ridiculous to me....but with all that said I'm going to say this. I was hesitant to post this because it STILL sounds ridiculous to me but here goes...A pretty well known ex-Cane who many of us remember fondly and lives in South Florida told me this EXACT same story BEFORE ITU posted it. He told me this last week at our sons game (his son and my son go to the same school and play on the same sports team). He specifically told me Chud would be willing to come back as an OC under certain circumstances. I couldn't help but laugh out loud on front of him and he looked and me and said "I'm serious, he would".

I STILL don't buy that...but I guess it's worth mentioning since ITU is hearing the exact same thing. This guy also told me that he and several other plays actually DON'T want Butch. I also found this pretty surprising and I told him I kinda agree with him (as I've posted several times on this board).

Take it with every grain of salt you can find....we'll see what happens.

They will double their draft status if they let Butch get them for year.
 
Maybe those guys are sick of being embarrassed and playing for a **** program. They put in time and it was wasted by the worst coaches (and admin) in the biz. For a long time now, I just can't give anyone a hard time for leaving this place (and likewise, recruits that go elsewhere).
