We might get some smoke from external media or collaborative posts from insiders, but it is doubtful the University announces a hire today. That would mean either theyve been sitting on the announcement or it got "done" over the weekend. Administration and in-house counsel are not working over the weekend just to appease this lot.

Don't do this to yourself.

Edit: The above does not apply to Georgia! 😎
What is the point of sitting on an announcement? Creates negative recruiting opportunities .

This.

A lot of hedging and excuse making in this thread.

Bama and UGA taking coaches from the staff immediately after the opening on their staff. Oregon and LSU completed their staff, inclusive of NFL hires.

And with kids getting a free transfer without sitting out, allowing coaches to finish their signing classes doesn’t make any sense.

Maybe I missed the post where the “insiders” already did so … But can we just be honest and accept that the plans for the staff Cristobal had when he took the job have fallen through, and he’s figuring out a new plan?

It has been said already that both coordinators had been identified and both have since backed out.
