Perhaps that explains TRob leaving. He may not have known he had a job 🤔🤣
Well he was never formally announced to have one. Matter of fact, Mario hasn’t fired anyone yet. The same staff and support staff is in place. I think he’s giving them the option to have a soft landing.

I don't think it's as complicated as you're making it out to be, though the wording doesn't help at all. Obviously we only have what the canesport guy is saying, which I assume we all take with a grain of salt. I take it to mean that Mario looks to get a level of certainty - in this case, an assurance from the candidate in question - that an offer would be accepted before giving them an offer (verbal or contract? Unclear). It's certainly still possible that, after a candidate says they'd take the offer, at the last minute they decide to back out. Job offer of multiple years has to be in writing so whatever they verbally agreed to wouldn't be binding.
to add to this, maybe the candidate in question asked to sleep on it and then changed his mind... or his family changed their minds... Seems like someone said this is how Candle may have gone down...

I know; if it were the reality, we’d be f^cked. Just feels like it because we’re stuck in the mud in terms of the lack of new candidates being brought up

Conversationally, I can understand the desire for new candidates.

Realistically, I think we would all prefer fewer candidates.

But still, I think we are close. And I am not going to give up on my "Mario shows the recruits he puts them first by announcing the new coordinators at Elite Camp" hypothesis until it is proven wrong.

Idc about OC or DC updates. Who’s got the inside info on who will be running the Special Teams?

Who got ST candidates in mind to get us to page 1000.

The guy LaTech D-train or something
Dennis Smith he was the ST’s Coordinator for LA Tech.

He’s a UM Grad & as one of the first coaches Mario hired at FIU, he was with him as a recruiting coordinator & director of player personnel for Mario’s entire tenure at FIU.

It was reported back in December that he would be hired here in an off-field role as an analyst.
It’s possible he could still end up as our ST’s coach...

Another possibility is his ST’s coach from Oregon Bobby Williams (who he coached with at Bama as well) Bobby could also end up as our TE’s coach as well if Coach Field is moved to an off-field role as well.

But as of now, none of that has been confirmed & it still remains to be seen exactly how all that will shake out.
