Some names to watch before it’s deleted

I'm going to be completely honest, him choosing 1st time play callers with an absolutely fat stack of cash to play with, coupled with the alleged names within coaching circles that want to come here...I would be lying if I said I wouldn't be extremely disappointed if this came to fruition.

But, it hasn't happened yet - so this is all speculation until proven otherwise.
It’s a big yellow flag. His prowess on the trail should compensate for some of that.

Going back to Cribby's original post, Hurtt was in play for a staff position and not coordinator. If Hurtt becomes the DC, then we failed with our Tier 1 options. No other way to look at it.
Yea would have to think this is plan C if he’s hired

I wish, but that dude is going to get millions to be someone’s DC in the NFL.

I mentioned him before but I really Bears DC Sean Desai. Young guy but is really well thought of. Had some impressive blitz packages. Mentored in Chicago by Fangio and Chuck Pagano.

Worked at UM for one year under Golden.
Get Nagy too while we're at it .... Or Doug Peterson. Someone from the Andy Reid branch for OC

As a Seahawks fan this makes me go back and forth on if this would be good or not. It's well known that Carroll after a little time starts to override play calling on both offense and defense.
The Seahawks have been terrible in their defensive scheme past 3 years. I don't know if that is solely on Norton for his defense or something else. All I know is I watch Seahawks and Canes games with the same fear when they are in defense.
What I can say is the defense for the Hawks does a lot with very little. They rely a lot on the DEs and linebackers, but the interior tends to play above their ability at times with lesser known players

So glad this board has some posters that know about OC. Loeffler would be such a horrendous hire that would have me disowning the Canes similar to keeping James and Diaz.

You can always judge an OC by what coaches want him to be their OC.

If I knew nothing about what Enos ran, the fact that he was the OC choice of the fat man and is who Kirby Smart wanted, that would be enough to run as far away from Enos as possible.

Look at the coaches that have hired Loeffler. You don’t need to know anything else about him. He’s the desired OC for coaches that hate offense.
