I’ve been kinda hoping someone brought up Tom Manning. His offense is balanced and he uses tempo. He’s not much different than Jason Candle. I wouldn’t mind him at all.

He played with Candle at Mount Union & was Candle’s OL coach at Mount Union for a year & Toledo for 4 years...

He’s another Ohio guy, he’s never left the Midwest for the entirety of his career.

I doubt he’d come to Miami tbh.

Ponce is underwhelming. It's like hiring the fat Italian owner of the local pizza shop to become CEO of Microsoft. He's not really qualified, but ****, you hope you found a gem.

Yes, that’s him. He coached at Miami until 86 & then left for the DC job at Rice.

He’s a long time Texas Tech coach as well.

Yeap..he left UM because he missed his home state.

That’s fair and I could be wrong but don’t think they ever predicted us getting Brady only that he was a candidate. Even if they did, a lot can go into “predictions” whereas what I posted was more of their recap of what already happened with their respective situations.
