Some Kool Aid from the great Bruce Feldman

I'm just presenting the Kool Aid.

And before this gets misconstrued- I personally don't think any QB in America right now is Cam, including Beck. We haven't had one of him in my lifetime and we may never again. But Beck has a very high ceiling compared to most college QBs.
Which is what makes last season so depressing lol.

Beck is a solid prospect but not as good. I think first round chances are high if we make the playoffs, which would be huge for us as is to do back to back. 1st overall is a stretch.

So much for a QB killer. Crazy the narratives spit by folks.
Interesting....as I was reading through the comments on this thread, I thought, "Good Lord, people sure do come up with some incredible ßullshït when it coms to explaining away QBs that they like/don't like." Then I saw your comments - thank you. Although I do admire some of the creativity that some of these written ƒécal message senders come up with.

Consensus is Beck is a good QB, not Cam, but who is? Beck having to have a system that works to his skill set is ridiculous. His OC was Mike Bobo for christsake. Bobo is The Flintstones, Dawson is Star Trek. Why wouldn’t a QB like Beck not flourish in our offense. Why wouldn’t Dawson adapt his system to Becks skill set. Which by the way is quick release, accurate throws, making his reads, and running when necessary.JFC, Cam is gone, Beck is here and a pretty GD good replacement.please can we stop with the BS comparisons and the sky is falling hand wringing. Line up, Strap up, and let’s F**k some S**t Up. 🙌🏽
I'm not sure what makes it ridiculous. I want him to do well, too. I think he can. I'm not saying he cannot do well or that Dawson won't, for example, add more PA to his call sheet. This thread originated as a conversation about what can lead to a QB making a rise to the #1 overall pick.

I see Beck as having a role similar to JJ McCarthy at Michigan. He only threw an average of 275 passes during the regular season (compared to over 400 for Beck at UGA) at a very high level in combination with a great running game. Beck doesn't have to throw for 3,500 yards for this offense to hum.

Beck will have the most unproven WR room in his career. I’ll be satisfied if he puts last year’s numbers.
I'm not disagreeing with you that this year's WR group is unproven, but UGA's WR group last season was pretty lackluster (they may have been more proven). Obviously this group at UM doesn't have a ton of experience, but there is some talent and Loftin could be a life saver for Beck until the receivers get a little more experienced.

A lot of if’s for a QB we spent a great deal of money on but here we are.

Beck is coming off a significant injury and has a very questionable WR group to work with at this time.

Beck was the preseason Heisman favorite going into 2024. While I'm not saying he'll be as good as Cam, it isn't that farfetched to see him flourishing in this system with the OL we have and being in the running for the #1 draft pick...a lot of things that to go right for that to happen though. How cool would it be to have the #1 draft pick 2 years in a row??

Funny how so many people say Trader is that guy, yet no one has faith that he'll step up and actually be that guy. No one is that guy until they have proven it lol. I agree the injury could be a real issue, but hopefully Miami did their due diligence before paying him $4 million

In you're hypothetical if they lose to Texas they could miss the CFP altogether.

LOL...It wasn't Stockton that had anything to do with Texas winning that game and Beck has the better chance of not throwing a 3rd and long pick in field goal range to go up 6 late 3rd

It was 6-3 Texas at half. I'd say based on 2 years of Beck, vs. the game and a half we saw of Stockton that the far more likely outcome was GA winning more comfortably than they did than losing the game.
