I'm just presenting the Kool Aid.
And before this gets misconstrued- I personally don't think any QB in America right now is Cam, including Beck. We haven't had one of him in my lifetime and we may never again. But Beck has a very high ceiling compared to most college QBs.
They probably don't even win the SEC.In all fairness if Beck stays healthy last season they may be a 1 time national champ.
Yes Cam is an excellent off-schedule QB, and that is where Beck has struggled. The only real question about Beck for me this year is his play under pressure (physical pressure and pressure of the big moment). That what we most need him to step his game up at. But he has proven to be pretty great on-schedule. Which there have been plenty of examples of his type of QB going 1st round and 1st overall. Jared Goff is the obvious example of a guy who went #1, and is an excellent QB when he has a good OLine and some weapons to throw to. When on Schedule and he's protected he is playing more efficient than like 98% of QBs in the league. When he is under a lot of pressure it's a coin flip. Well more specifically when he is made to move. Cause he'll stanf big in the pocket and make the throw in the face of pressure, but it's when you collapse the pocket he sucks. And that's pretty similar to what I think Beck is. Our OLine is going to be far more important than last year. Will be elated if I'm wrong about this, but I don't at all see Feldman's view.
Beck needs the system to work for his specific skill set. Cam's rise to #1 overall is partly because he is the system or can be successful between them.
Two very different values, IMO.
So much for a QB killer. Crazy the narratives spit by folks. Can’t wait for Mario to have back to back top five picks at QB lmao
Personally I’m glad.Bad qb’s are slurped often. Look at Allar from Penn state. That’s what makes the Beck hate so outlandish. I don’t know if I’ve seen a qb with his resume be looked at so poorly. Young man from Texas was catching it pretty bad last year also.
But the fact that Carson Beck is being looked down upon the way he is really is crazy to me.
Consensus is Beck is a good QB, not Cam, but who is? Beck having to have a system that works to his skill set is ridiculous. His OC was Mike Bobo for christsake. Bobo is The Flintstones, Dawson is Star Trek. Why wouldn’t a QB like Beck not flourish in our offense. Why wouldn’t Dawson adapt his system to Becks skill set. Which by the way is quick release, accurate throws, making his reads, and running when necessary.JFC, Cam is gone, Beck is here and a pretty GD good replacement.please can we stop with the BS comparisons and the sky is falling hand wringing. Line up, Strap up, and let’s F**k some S**t Up.Will be elated if I'm wrong about this, but I don't at all see Feldman's view.

Yeah I totally agree with your point. I personally am not debating anything. I legit wanted to know from ppl who might have followed Cam or just knew about him who they thought was better before last season played out. It would have been interesting to know who ppl would have wanted if both Cam and Beck was available last yr.Cam played at Washington State and Beck played at Georgia. If roles were reversed Cam is a 2-time NC. Being considered better has more to do with media coverage than ability.
