Has anybody mentioned Eastern Air Lines?
Don't know where the **** this thread is going,

You learn something new every day. Very cool. Thanks.

Fried chicken and fried okra with mashed potatoes.
There’s still one left in St Pete. Ate there some years back.

The irony is that Burt Reynolds’s was a partner in Po’ Folks, and of course FSU player and sponsor of their uniforms back in the day.
According to their website, they still have five locations, most in the Panhandle:

Interesting their splash page restaurant is the one in Niceville; remember spending a whole lot of time there back in 90s when I was at Hurlburt, but lived up in Bluewater Bay. The favorite eatery of my Father in Law visiting from Ohio.

It’s good to see there are still 5 left. According to Wiki those were/are independently owned. There were 170 restaurants at its peak.
Burt Reynolds lost $20 million when it went bankrupt, a lot of money in 1988. 👀
