I seriously have to ask what exactly is your point.
It sounds like you are saying that losing does not matter because he won a bunch a games years ago. That we should accept Richt regardless of his record here because he was good ten years ago.
I'm not sure this is the best argument for Richt.
Every year coaches get fired for one simple reason...not winning games. Almost every coach that gets a new job has some track record they can point to that helped get that job...and yet no coach last forever.
Why is that? Ask yourself why it is rare for head coaching jobs to last a long time?
Past records only buy you so much latitude...eventually you have to produce wins or get replaced. It's not the fans fault, it is the nature of the business and has always been since before any of us were born.
