Some Advice to Mario from another local reporter

The first 3 words of the highlighted sentence - Could it be - should speak volumes to many. She doesn’t know anymore about what’s going on inside the locker room then the man in the moon and admitted she doesn’t know squat about the game. Total speculation and bullshyt - as usual - from the local hacks masquerading as reporters who **** sure aren’t journalists

Anyone that lends any credence to these hacks are fools - plain and simple.

Mario’s style will pay great dividends in the years to come. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s well know how deeply infected the culture is at Miami right now.

He’s Miami’s last hope. I can’t imagine them being able to convince a coach with a better resume to take on the program coming off firing it’s 6th straight coach
 
No question Mario clearly made mistakes with the offense. His current personnel does not lend itself to quickly becoming the physically dominate team he envisions. There needs to be a transition of some duration that does not seem to sacrifice wins in order to make a point.

Former Canes tell us Miami was the hardest working team in CFB, back in the day. The standards Mario knows. My thoughts are there are numerous players struggling with the demands Mario places on them. Many seem to lack confidence. Executing tentatively rather than decisively.

Perhaps the game has changed and Mario is too much of a hardass?

I don‘t think so.

Players like Colbie Young seem to get it. He came in as a late signee, and had to work even harder to catch up and earn his spot.

True, Jimmy Johnson didn‘t discourage self-expression, having fun, but he sure as fvck would not stand for 15-yard penalties that hurt the team. Erickson was the HC letting that get out of hand.

Johnson was up 51-0 on his alma mater, Arkansas, in 1987. Late in the game Arkansas was driving for a late meaningless touchdown on the backup defense. Johnson wanted a shut out, and told his starters if Arkansas scored Monday’s practice would be ****. Arkansas scored, the game finished 51-7, and Monday’s practice was ****.

I’m sure there were some tense conversations in the locker room that week.

Clever way to create accountability amongst the roster.

Apparently this isn't enough talent to beat mighty teams like MTSU and Duke according to people on this site.

I get what she's saying though. Kids seem to be playing too tight and scared to make a mistake and when you play like that you are going to make mistakes.
