Some AD names to keep in mind

Willie Arthur Taggart is now 10-10 at FAU, after FAU went 26-13 under Kiffin; and prior to FAU, Taggart went 9-12 at FSU. Yet, he was a good hire? Oh, he was also:
16-20 at Western Kentucky
24-25 at USF
7-5 at Oregon

For a grand total record at the G5 & P5 level at a remarkable: 66-72. I’m not sure if I ever seen a coach w/ a sub .500 record over 4 schools ever be considered a “good hire.”

Lol!
12 seasons as an HC...won 10 games once, 8 games once (both at USF) and somehow remains constantly employed.

Correct, he was railroaded by Louisville, exonerated, and then got a big fat settlement. Been chilling since then. My guess is he'd come back to finish his career on a high note. And I'll bet you a box of donuts Pitino would leave Iona for UM if Jurich was AD.
I don’t pay much attention to college bball anymore but can you tell me why Pitino is at ****** Iona ?

Question:

-How was he railroaded when a huge *** scandal, and a bribe scandal (which vacated UL’s Nat’l title) happened under his watch? Settlements do not “necessarily” mean exonerated; it could mean he had dirt on his employers that they didn’t want to get out (I know this from a former colleague who settled even though he was dirty af.)

Anyways, I’m just not sure if the term “railroaded” should be used w/ Jurich.

Yea he might’ve been “cleared” of the Adidas stuff but be definitely knew the Stripper stuff was going on with the basketball team. We all know what kind of guy Jurich is you just hope the pros of his outweighs the cons if your are Frenk.

Exactly.

I personally believe that the presence of the search firm makes it highly unlikely that Jurich is going to be recommended as a viable candidate. If we are also to believe that the firm is solely focused on sitting AD's (and not Associate AD's) then a guy like Jeff Purinton from Alabama likely won't be in the mix either. With that said, here is a list of viable candidates to keep an eye on:

Doug Knuth (Nevada) - Nevada is a really difficult program to win at and he's made really solid hires in Jay Norvell for football and Eric Musselman and Steve Alford for basketball. Has also been an Associate AD at Utah and Michigan State.

Brian White (FAU) - Name has been mentioned quite a bit around these parts and not sure if you need a national search firm for a guy who is 90 minutes up the road. Still, he does a really good job at FAU and comes from strong bloodlines with his brother the AD at Tennessee and his father the long-time AD at Duke. There's also the Lane Kiffin connection...

Mike Hill (Charlotte) - Spent 25 years at UF, most recently as their Executive Associate AD. Charlotte hasn't exactly been an athletics juggernaut (although they just moved up to FCS in football) but think that the quarter century in UF's AD makes him an attractive candidate.
1) No
2)No
3)No
4)**** NO to UF scum

I don't care about the *** scandal. Getting a bj isn't a ncaa rules violation. The bribery allegation is the problem. The perception everyone has (which you seem to as well) is that he was complicit in the bribery scheme but UL settled when he threatened to sue because he might have dirt. What is interesting is that in the letter from the school Prez where Jurich was read the riot act, they said he was being fired "for cause" for a bunch of reasons like being a bully, failure to supervise, not having a culture that encouraged compliance, etc. They accused him of everything under the sun EXCEPT for the bribery, which was never mentioned a single time. So if the school fired him for cause and implied he bore some responsibility for the bribery scandal, then in the termination notice they basically call him a scumbag and yet never mention the one thing that was the supposed reason for his firing (this is before they knew he would sue), and then they settle and acknowledge he was fired without cause, then I consider that getting railroaded.

U better **** well care about a *** scandal if u’re The AD. Lol.

Dude, I’ve noticed when u’re laser focused on something, u defend like no other. Again, using the term “railroaded” is not remotely applicable. I’m more than 1000% sure Jurich knew & was complicit to what was taking place at UL.
