Some AD names to keep in mind

Jurich or Ian McCaw… current AD at Liberty and former AD at Baylor from 2001-2016 who built their athletic program into a powerhouse.

Ian McCaw hired Art Briles as Football HC, Scott Drew as Men’s Basketball HC, and built a new football stadium during his time at Baylor.
Curious why is he at Liberty now?

Yes, I'm pretty hard headed that way. If UM wants to compete on the same level as the UGAs and Bamas, we need an AD who is a ball buster, knows how the game is played, and knows how to get deals done. I don't remember if you proposed Radokovich but he seemed quite qualified as well. I want a big time experienced AD, not someone who is moving up from an assistant AD job at Texas Tech.

I say that getting defamed, blamed for something without any proof being presented, and fired then having the accuser say "oops, nevermind" counts as being railroaded.

And you are forgetting there are 3 levels to the investigation. The school, the ncaa, and the FBI. All three layers cleared him. You can say he had dirt on Louisville so they settled, but the athletic department didn't get tagged in the ncaa notice of allegations. The ncaa specifically mentioned the Athletic department in their NOA to Arizona State , so if they thought the AD was involved, they would have said it. In the UL NOA, it was all about Pitinos failure to monitor and the basketball program. Given Jurich‘s extremely close ties to Adidas and Adidas being at the center of the bribery allegations, you really have to go into deep state conspiracy territory to think the ncaa would deliberately not mention him because they were specifically trying to protect him. Lastly the FBI investigation didn't turn up anything on Jurich. This was a multi level investigation with 3 different organizations looking into it and Jurich was not implicated by any of them. I don't know what else could possibly be said to make it more clear that in the eyes of the ncaa and the law, he wasn't involved.

Again, all what u’re saying is u having a hard on for Jurich. There’s chit to say he was exonerated. Notice the terms of his contract.

FIRST read why there was a settlement:

Second Read what the settlement was:

Brian White would be a very good choice for the obvious reasons, his family is also entrenched in college athletics at every level, which is a good thing because these are guys who aren’t trying to have a HS reunion at their job, they’re just lining things up objectively & trying to hire the best candidates they can to help their prospective programs.

I also like Knuth at Nevada, hiring Jay Norvell as HC was a gutsy move because his reputation has been somewhat scarred from his tenure at Oklahoma where he was OC under Stoops & then got unceremoniously fired & then he was OC with Charlie Strong at Texas in Strong’s last season before he got canned too. But Norvell had paid his dues & earned his opportunity to finally get a shot as a HC & he’s turned them around & made them into a respectable program in the MW.

Knuth also helped Utah make a sh*t ton of money when he was there.

Terry Tumey, John David WIcker, Martin Jarmond, Laird Veatch & Hunter Yurachek would all be great choices as well.

Veatch and Wicker are interesting names, especially with the former having been at UF. Would love Jarmond but he literally just got to UCLA

Yeah I just mentioned Jarmond because UCLA has had a resurgence in their athletics & things are looking good for their foreseeable future, but you’re right Jarmond just got hired last year, so I doubt he’d leave that fast, but he’s a young upcoming AD with a bright future.

Wicker has San Diego ST athletics in a phenomenal place to only be a G5 school, they have as consistent of a model of success as any P5 cash-cow has & that’s impressive IMO.

Veatch has done a good job at Memphis, their Football & Basketball programs are in good shape, especially Basketball because that’s where the majority of their athletics budget goes to, they really don’t spend much money on Football, but have maintained a competitive team over the years, although this year they’ve fallen back to Earth post Norvell era.

But I think Brian White might actually be the best choice in terms of upward trajectory of the program going forward.

Jurich is a great pick too, but he’s not the only candidate on Earth like our fans think lol.

Jurich is the RIGHT pick. Like I mentioned in my other post, that statement is within the context of who is REALISTICALLY being mentioned for the job.

Several of the names you mentioned are fine picks, but none of those names have been specifically linked by outside sources to Miami . At least not that I have heard of. Jurich is safe from the standpoint that he's a no-nonsense, wants-to-win kinda guy. We haven't had "that kinda guy" around here......since Vietnam.

And another thing, he's the kind of guy that will tell anyone to go F their own face. I'm all about that type of guy especially in an environment like ours where once a guy sits in that AD chair, he pretty much gets left to his own devices until the fans revolt and force the administration to act due to a lack of performance.

For those reasons, and many others.....BRING . ME. JURICH. This program is in desperate need of a pure outsider who is experienced and actually qualified for that position.

Btw bro, let me be clear b/c we’re str8, although we have differences of opinions from time to time, we’ve always been good;

There’s only two names that I wanted here as AD which was Jurich & Rad. I preferred Rad over Jurich b/c Clemson is a monster, he’s an alum, & his resume is pretty clear. My reservation about Jurich was he was never exonerated; he settled amicably w/ The University b/c of the language found in his contract back in 2011. So he was going to get broke off regardless if he was fired w/ or w/o cause. To keep the peace, they termed his firing as a retirement, & they removed a damning letter from his file. That’s it, bro. I provided the UL media links highlighting all of that.

But at the end of the day, I said F the NCAA & The ACC b/c he would be good for us, in all aspects. BUT keep in mind that we r not the darlings, so if we get Jurich, look for all eyes to be on us.
