Social media ban

Meanwhile, Jarren Williams seems to be quiet and working. Name him the starter already. Tate and Perry seem to love more what being QB1 does for them.

it was like right before camp. can't tell which receiver he was working with, but I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say KJ since they have good on field chemistry

i think this one was better than Ryan Tannehills

so out of curiosity, i clicked on one of his girls tweets off his page and jesus he gets some hate by her followers (non football related). on a serious note, that has to absolutely suck

The competition is over as far as I am concerned. Campaign name is "Can't wait for Tate"

I think social media is useless and it's an addictive activity. My wife is addicted to Facebook... the time she spends on it is astronomical. I know a lot of people that post every ******* thing they do on social media... ridiculous imo.

And thats the thing.

When you post some **** thinking you fresh or got a dope *** game pic or whatever, you're going to be on that **** all day checking to see who liked it and if you got more followers.

I think its a difference from lurking and actually posting on social media.

CIS is an addictive activity as well... we work the site for opinion and reaction. The big difference is anonymity, and I'm not constantly on here all the time where my wife is constantly with her finger scrolling Facebook on her smartphone.
I know some people here that have freed themselves from CIS and ultimately it may be a good thing if you become too obsessed with it.

Yeah man. I used to lurk on here all the time.

As soon as we started having these QB discussions and I started actually putting my opinion out there, I've been waaaay more likely to come check the board. Every year, once the actual season starts, I mostly just watch the games. I have to see what happens this year since I've actually started posting.

So we blame social media instead of the users?

Lol... I'm retired and have a lot of free time. But I'm a handyman and I have plenty of projects and I'm a fisherman as well... things that keep me sane.... regardless of what my wife says, lol.

Cuckbo banning things is funny when one realizes he couldn't even control his own wife from seeking unthinkable things to be done to her orifices.

I think Manny wants to encourage it in a way as long as it's not a distraction. That's why they brought that "branding" guy in to work with the team. A coach who wants kids to develop their personal "brand" could play as a recruiting pitch, especially with how teenagers think these days. Would put them ahead of the curve if the NCAA allows players to profit off their likeness.

Pay them if you want to control them.

they are given a free 4 year education at a top private school. they work with the top trainers, nutritionist, coaches and facilities to showcase their talents and get better at a chance of getting a promotion to make millions of dollars in the NFL. want to pay them? ok. take all that away and make the kids have to split the cost of school, board, food, coaches, grounds maintenance etc.

I think it’s stupid, kids still of there phone and still scroll social media but just don’t post, so not sure what the difference is. Sounds so minor, and honestly for a team like Miami we’d probably lose recruits to this. Clemson can do what they want as long as they keep winning.

I think it’s more important to get coaches and players like Clemson not adopt there social media regulations. Anyways they have putt putt golf and slides to occupy there time

Do Clemson and ATM ban consumption of social media as well (at least from phone)?

I would do it for a free education... so would the entire country... try again...

Must both be Marxists/Communists. Those are the only types of economies where people's wages are arbitrarily set by governing bodies and not based on Economic value/production.

Edit: I worded that incorrectly.

It was discussed at CFB Live that Texas a&m adopted this ban for the players for the duration of fall camp. It speaks volumes to how serious they are to be an elite program. Then they mentioned that Clemson does it for the whole season and have been doing it for years. Do you guys think we should do this too?
Yes

It has been mentioned several times that Manny had social media experts speak to the team and address their social media use. So no.
