So Who in the Top 25 could we realistically beat?

In a single game situation?

I see 16 teams that would have serious problems against our current roster and an above average coaching staff. I see 9 teams we'd have a puncher's chance. I don't see a single team that a well-prepared and positioned 2014 UM team couldn't at least have a shot.
Very true, which rustles me. We should easily be a top 15 team and playing solid football with the talent we have.

With a depth chart littered with babies, LSU just beat the #3 team in the country. There are too many excuses for our poor performances this year.

Perhaps, but give me those two defensive ends, Beckwith, Alexander and Martin. I wish we had a kid like Godchaux, good lord.

We've got stud Defensive Ends. Therein lies the problem. We are always looking at other talent thinking ours isn't good enough, when in actuality it is. Our talent just isn't being developed or coached properly.

Our ends should be 3-technique tackles. I'll take Hunter and Rasco. I don't disagree with your premise. We should be better than we are.

We could beat any team in the top 25 if we played the way we did last week.

Is it probable? No, but we have the talent to do so

There's no reason this roster shouldn't be right there in the mix with any one of those teams. I've seen them all, and no one stands out as a juggernaut.

Give us a real HC and DC like Chavis, and you'd be claiming our guys were bad asses.

We have as much talent as most of the teams in the top 25. It's too bad we don't have a coaching staff who can exploit a feeble schedule and a ****** conference. That is the genesis of the frustration with this corching staff.

Isn't this the same crowd ****ed that we lost to Nebraska? Granted, we might need to bring in a new D coordinator for the game, but why would anyone assume we coudn't beat them, especially outside the confines of Lincoln?
Maybe because we didn't beat them?

Top 25 in Division 1, 1AA, or 2?

Division 1- nobody
Division 1AA- most likely 80-90% of teams (simply due to athleticism NOT coaching)
Division 2- See response for Division 1AA

If we played Duke again, I don't know that we'd beat them. Same thing with VT - them boys had a real bad night.

Maybe Marshall.

Coaches gotta go. Got to.
