So..Who do we want Indiana or Oregon

Are you sure that’s the way it works in the playoffs? I thought in the playoffs there is no carryover from game to game. So I thought because of that, Lucas won’t have to sit the first half. Am I wrong on that?

Yeah the rule says he still misses the 1st half. " A targeting call in a second-half playoff game can lead to a player missing the first half of the next season's first game, even if it's the National Championship."

Miami matches up well with Indiana, but Indiana is exactly the type of team that Miami has historically struggled against.

Smart, experienced, fundamentally sound, and running the exact same defensive scheme as us, right down to the violence.

We're also the one team IU fans have repeatedly told me in Pasadena and Atlanta the last two weeks that they do not want to see.

Their technical combos normally knock people off kilter then the **** out, but Iowa, Penn State & OSU all were able to take the beating and dish it back for the whole 60 minutes.

Ultimately Cignetti is still a killer and dispatched those bullies, but he knows they were just imitators. Our caveman is more clever than those frauds and co-opted Cignetti's defensive tree to prove it.

Miami is some tough sons of ******* and won't be daunted, no matter how many combos the Hoosiers land.

Oregon is banged up, has a bad OLir, a distracted OC & DC, and will be so far up the own asses overthinking the Cristobowl that they would be the easy choice.
Fair but also I feel like every team we play someone says it’s “a team we historically struggle against”

We’ve struggled for 20 years so technically it’s everyone

It can’t be true

Agree. I would be shocked if IU doesn't win by 10+ tonight.

Yeah hopefully Oregon at least makes them work for it.

Oregon’s literally has no running backs to play. Indiana with such an easy path but hey they are the #1 seed but holy **** Miami went through fire to get here while Indiana cake wakes their way

I would prefer Oregon, Cignetti's team do not make mistakes penalties etc. very disciplined
they look a lot like us actually

I absolutely think we are better off playing Oregon. We saw how they played against IU earlier. They were mostly shut down against TTU except for all the turnovers. Their coaches are more distracted with both coordinators having HC jobs elsewhere with portal in full swing still. And just I think their Trenches are the more beatable. And at the end of the day Lanning is more risk-taking which while it can pay off, given our style of play - can absolutely blow up in his face and gift us more opportunities.

ALSO this game is in Miami. oregon will not travel to this game all that well - at least not nearly as well as IU will

Ducks.

I have friends from Oregon at the Indiana game tonight, and who will be at the NC game at/vs Miami.

I want to celebrate with them tonight (as they did with me last night).

And crush their dreams on Monday, January 19th. :devilish:

us at home, using the visitor locker room, as underdogs for the natty

we're winning either way

oregon probably "easier" due to shaky offense and RB injuries

also hetherman was on cignetti's staff and I'd rather not go against someone who knows our defensive scheme for a national title (not to mention the heisman winner)

I wish we could play and beat them both.

I want the top dog and everyone thinks that is Indiana but I would take the Ducks too.

I want our players locked in. I want our coaches locked in. We need Dawson to focus. Throw some wrinkles into his formations not flipping flee flickers and wildcat plays.
