And some have the nerve to point the finger at the fans.

### It must be noted that UM has two five-star players on the bench: freshman Chad Thomas (who should become a difference-maker with more experience) and junior Tracy Howard, who has five career picks and simply hasn’t been as productive as --- to use an example --- Mississippi senior cornerback Senquez Golson, who has 11 career picks (five this season) but was just a three-star prospect. UM people say Howard’s speed was overestimated by some coming out of high school.

His strengths were well known coming out of high school. The kid bought in and this is how they repay him? Funny how someone with great speed like Burns can't succeed in this scheme either. They keep throwing kids under the bus to defend themselves and the scheme. Its disgusting at this point. Grown adults blaming kids for their coaching failures. We're reaching new lows folks

The #1 CB in the country that year. Guess Bama, FSU, UF, USC, Auburn, LSU, ND, and UGA all "overestimated" his speed, too. Gtfo.

Add this to last week's bullshlt claim that Bush and Carter can't play the football in the air. Two more south Florida kids that could've picked up the phone and told any school in the country they wanted a spot and got right in.

Three highly-coveted local kids thrown under the bus. Disgusting.

His source is obviously a position corch who knows that his future is tied to the traveling circus currently destroying this program.

Isn't that an accurate statement about T. Howard though?!? Can recall many posters bashing him for his lack of speed and not living up to his 5-star rating; in a previous thread just a few weeks ago. Just sayin'

I've been following college football since the 1970s and I've seen my share of DBs who were stellar in college but didn't pan out in the
NFL because of limitations....whether it was because of size, speed, whatever...

It didn't stop them from being very productive college DBs.

Howard and several of his DB teammates were recruited by all the big boys, and now we hearing from these "unnamed" sources
that they can't play?

I yell BS.

how many of how high ranked guys "lived up to their rating"?

THE COACHES/SCHOOL ISN'T SUPPOSED TO RIP KIDS TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD.

THAT IS ALL THIS THREAD MEANS.

There is a certain level of trust here between parents, students, and coaches.

In an effort to save his fat *** and his boyfriends ***, "sources" (Paul Williams, Golden, Dorito) are throwing kids under the bus left and right.

What happens here is that eventually that the train will keep coming and Golden will run out of bodies to try to slow it down.

HOWEVER IN THAT PROCESS OF DEFENDING HIS FAT SKIN, HE IS GOING TO BURN LOCAL BRIDGES LIKE RANDY BEFORE HIM.

It's also sad to see them take a kid that excels at being physical at the line of scrimmage, and ask him to play 10 yards off the ball while bailing at the snap, only to turn around and say "man this kid stinks."

Way to utilize your personnel's strengths, ********.

And we get excoriated for supporting a banner behind a plane.

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world!

Which coach is that from, or where did the quote come from?

Never mind just saw the mother thread.

Yeah, Darrelle Revis runs a 4.2. its bad coaching, tracy was one of the first to realize it.

I don't feel bad for Howard at all .He's been interviewed a bunch of times where he has defended Dorito and his scheme and even taken shots at fans for not knowing what they're complaining about.I understand he can't publicly slam the staff but just be quiet and don't endorse them.

You must be some kind of stupid. If he's asked outright what he thinks of his coaches he has to answer. Saying no comment is like saying they suck

He wants playing time, he's not an idiot.

It can't be overstated just how defensive this staff has been...at defending their scheme. Even now, in year four, after bad scheme may have cost us the Nebraska and Georgia Tech games, they're still at it, pointing out select stats that make our defense sound more capable than it is.

It's never the scheme, it's the cloud, and, when it's not the cloud, it's the players.

Just marvel at the arrogance. They've done all this to defend HISTORICALLY bad defenses. That is why firing Golden's homeboy would be just placing a small band-aid over a gaping wound. Al Golden is a sailor with only one sail, and will forever be at the mercy of the winds as a result.
