So this is what happens when

Williams, Knighton, Taylor were all getting significant reps before injuries. Only guy that didn't was TVD and for obvious reasons. I don't think any coach in America would have started him over King.
You’re a lying Hecht agent. That is 100% bullshyte.

Most of us were ****ed because Taylor was rumored to be transferring in December, due to getting 0 snaps. He only started getting PT when Manolo had no other choice but to play him.

Knighton was suspended for the first 4 games, and only started getting some burn in the 6th game. If Cam doesn’t get injured, we would still be seeing way less of Rooster.

Williams was the only one getting some snaps, but very few until Gurvan ***** the bed so bad that Manolo had no choice but to play him. Same with Kam.

We have a very talented big back (Thad) collecting dust on the bench. Our corches won’t even insert him during short yardage situations. The kid is almost a guaranteed 1st down in those situations. He has great vision, size and strength. But our corches rather get Rooster nearly killed in those spots.

Elijah Roberts should be getting a lot more snaps. Chase Smith, TAC and Huff cannot possibly be worse than Flagg and Jennings. Those 2 are the slowest starting LBs in Canes history.

On offense, Brashard Smith should be used as a WR, not just once a game out of the backfield. Arroyo should be getting major minutes. The kid is a stud, yet is barely targeted.

Hopefully we won’t lose Thad, Chase or B. Smith to the portal because of Manny’s incompetence.

Nobody said throw super sr’s away , way too be over dramatic. How about playing the best players. Remember when that was just a crazy conspiracy theory ?

You say three tough games , who’s the third? Not that it matters.

Manny hasn’t done anything well other than pre season hype, jewelry and the portal. We’re why we’ve been since he’s been here , mediocre to bad.
Williams is sturdy but other than him I dont think any of them would have been missed Ford McCloud and Carter aren't leading us to any ACC championships. McCloud is out athleting some OL but his technique (Manny's scheme) and run stopping leave a lot to be desired.

The defense is still terrible with all the young kids playing.
That’s because the DC, who also is the Head Corch is buns. You can’t expect to play off of WR’s for most of the game, while blitzing DB’s repeatedly from 20 yards away and not expect to get cooked by competent college QBs.

Also, our cornerbacks in particular exhibit horrible technique, and look like they’re lost out there most of the time. Ivey looks like he doesn’t even know what to do on 95% of his snaps, and he’s been here forever. Couch has regressed tremendously. Clarke is a talented kid, but also thinking too much.

Manolo is the king of analytics, and will never understand that most of these kids on defense have to be given the freedom to use their God given instincts and talents. Give them simple reads and let them play to their strengths, and I guarantee that you’ll see great improvements in the secondary.

Also, our fastest LB’s (Chase, TAC, and Huff) are all riding pine. You can’t expect to have extremely slow LB’s that seldom make plays starting, while sitting guys that you know are way more athletic.

Here’s a quote from October 18th. This is year three , half way through the season and the light went on. Ironically after he was dead man walking. He’s watched these kids in practice since spring then fall and he finally has this epiphany? This tells you everything.

1. Horrible recruiting
2. Horrible scheme
3. Horrible coaching
4. Horrible development
5. Horrible evaluations

Other than that everything is good.

Extension time!

Seriously though, been saying it all along (even with Baker helping run the Manny D) that his defensive scheme is terrible. I hated it when the news came out that we weren't hiring a DC, but that Manny was gonna do his thing.

Some people like to ***** that a head coach shouldn't be a coordinator, but that's not true. There's plenty of coaches out there that do that. The problem is when your system doesn't work.

The sad part is that we'll never know how good any of these defensive players could've actually been had they not been coached by him.

I’m so glad you mentioned this. Its bad enough when your head coach is a defensive guy and their defense sucks. But it’s a whole different level of awful when said head coach IS THE DC!!!!!! Baker was considered trash last year and his defense looks like 2000 ravens compared to this. If you’re a HC and your side of the ball continues to suck why are you a HC ?

All I can say is “ I wish my daddy had been a mayor“.

Williams played sparingly , we had 26 who is awful starting, eating most snaps. Which is criminal.

Taylor you’re 100 % full of ****, i know that situation better than anyone.

Knighton was suspended but if he wasn’t Chaney and Cam would’ve played most snaps. If Cam doesn’t go down he’s still eating majority of the snaps.

The Fr receivers are also playing a lot more.

Ivey finally got benched after looking god awful for years.

It took Gaynor getting hurt to put Clark in, he’s not young but me and others said Gaynor was bad and Clark is better.

Mallory is terrible and almost costs us games with atrocious blocking and putting the ball on the ground , yet he still gets as much or more burn than Arroyo. It took Mallory being horrible to get him real pt.

I know you’re a troll by your Manny defending posts and idiotic takes , I’ve already wasted too much time.
This site is full of manny’s defense attorneys. If our team defended opponents the way the manny cult defends him we would be unbeatable. They call us mopes just for calling out slip and slide on his incompetence.

You play your best RB, your receivers catch the ball, and your OLINE blocks for a second.

How do we fix the defense?
Man, how in the world does our defense suck so bad. I know, Manny this, Manny that, etc. But really, what is the issue. Is it talent, is it scheme, they suck..

Manny hasn't done anything well?

He inherited a qB room of Jarren Williams and N'Kosi Perry. He said when he got the Miami job he had to get the QB room right. When Miami is great they have a really good QB.

He has brought up Deriq King, TVD, and Jake Garcia. He and Jacurri Brown on the hook. This QB room is the best Miami has had in 2-3 decades?

The portal is a big deal. Miami has become one of the top portal schools in America thanks to Diaz foresight. It's easy to dismiss it, but he was a trendsetter in that regards.

The jewelry criticism is sorta funny too, since the turnover chain was created by Manny, Miami was #2 nationally in forced turnovers at least they were earlier this year when they showed the stat. That chain actually put Miami on the national map, it made headlines everywhere, and people from college down to pee wee were using some turnover prop.

He also learned how important the Kicker position is and improved it greatly. He was hurt badly with 2 losses in his first year due to not being able to kick.

He also brought the spread uptempo offense to Miami. Sorry that is a big deal as Miami has been behind college offenses for over a decade.

1.) Horrible Recruiting
Really?

TVD
Garcia
Chaney
Knighton
Brown
Franklkn
Arroyo
Smith
George
Xman
Brinson
Smith
Rivers

JHH
Harvey
Chantz
LT
Keontra
Chase
James
Kitchens
Avantae

Terrible recruiting?

2. Horrible scheme-schemed sure looked good when he had Greg R., Garvin, Shaq, Pink.
3. Horrible coaching
4. Horrible development
5. Horrible evaluations

Talk about dramatic.

So TVD hasn't developed? Knighton? Phillips? Rossaueu? Keyshawn Smith? Xman? Jakai? Rivers? Zion? Rambo is going to have a career year if he stays healthy, and he played with top notch QBs and arguably best offensive Hc in America.

That word is thrown out so much for older players who simply aren't that talented.

Manny isn't some great Hc, were you expecting it from an inexperienced HC taking over a 7-6 program inheriting a bad QB room, with no placekicker on the roster?

Did you expect him to wave magic pixi dust over this pathetic average 7-6 program and turn it into a national powerhouse in 2.5 years when the administration that he works for could care less? At least Manny actually cares for this program like we all do, which is much more than the pathetic administration including Blake James.

I'm all for hiring a top notch HC, if you can get one to come here.

Just keep hammering this home. He sucks, he blew this season. This could have been the start of something and he sucks. James sucks. Miami athletics sucks and that starts at the tip
Top with a ****** board. Put that on the back of a ******* plane.
