Difference is we are winning out.
D’Eriq King .... I’ve stated it and multiple others have stated it many times ... It’s the same team .. Only difference is KingTell me why we aren’t seeing a team that started hot and is now getting a lot of breaks to remain in the top 10 but is really a mirage.
The last 2 weeks have me concerned.
Good god that 2000 and 2003 team would beat this team by 100Compare it to our other 6-1 starts (2000, 2003, 2005). Whats the difference there?
Overall talent is weaker. Defense is definitely weaker versus all three squads. Quarterback is better than the 2003 and 2005 teams. There is far more depth at wide receiver than the 2005 squad.
No, THE FACTS ARE stating the case for em, he don't need me, that FSU game showed what perry has in em, as well as the UVA game last year, but remember, he put up that 400yrd performance in dumb *** coach enos already's pathetic non-offense. So talent wise, perry has more way more upside, did you see how many times perry got sacked. Their is a reason coach diaz didn't put perry in that Clemson game in the 2nd half, or at least the 4th quarter, so no controversy could be started, King was trash against Clemson, those 2 picks he threw were at the worst time in that type of ball game. People that were blaming wiggins, wasn't wiggins fault, King under threw em. I like King, he has earned my respect, the 2 things he has on perry is he doesn't hesistate to run it, where as perry is a True pass first style qb, and in pretty much every game Perry has played in here, we had a chance to win it or we won, his record as a starter is not bad. The other thing is, what King does prior to games, perry is a young man developing, he has the talent and everything he needs to excel at football, all he needed was the right environment around em, and the main thing with him, he's definitely not a quitter. Are you really claiming that kings current back up is as good or even close to his level ?
That's your opinion, but obviously you didn't see this game last year:Kosi was great 1 game and then horrible the next. No way you go 6-1 with Kosi at the helm
That's your opinion, but obviously you didn't see this game last year:
King and Lashlee . They have saved Manny’s job.
You're just sad cause the Noles took Briles instead.

I'll take perry with solid o-line play over King when it comes to just pure passing ability, I'm just mad we won't get to see the perry to jeff thomas show no mo, those 2 had a real good connection.
Keep in mind, perry has had 3oc's, whereas King was already coming here from already playing in a similar offense that rhett runs conceptually, which made the transition a lil quicker. I didn't like what I saw from King in the that Clemson game, he let them rattle him, perry is a lead by play type of guy, he's not trying to be something he's not, he's #2 for a reason.

I don't need you taking up for me, just take up for the facts, you judging perry based off of what, right now King is throwing to a bunch of hungry receivers that came in with or right before perry who most were crybabies except wiggins, king not in coach enos already's pathetic offensive mind offense. The tape and his record as a starter don't lie, next, king is playing behind a more physically mature gaynor, scaife, nelson, clark and the new jack williams, let's let perry play under these same conditions, under rhett's wide open scheme that perry can definitely play in, King's arm is nowhere near perry's, especially when he's focused. But king showed he's also about that Life n this last game, against Clemson though he didn't though he didnt show that much fight in em. Don't sleep on perry!Calvin I try and stick up for you here because of your love for Dade and the Canes.
But this take is insane. Kosi has been AWFUL far too many times for you to even think this.
Special teams improved.QB and offensive staff.
Everything else is the same. Some things are actually worse. I think our defense took a step back.
If we go into Virginia Tech and win we will not lose the rest of the regular season.@Miami04

These are quick stats w/o going to other details like 3rd/4th down conversions, stats/half, etc. These #’s give a quick indication as to similarities between all these teams.
@Coach Macho said it best; clearly our defense has taken a step back. Neither teams have played a murder’s row schedule w/in their first 7 games. Even in 2013, #12 UF were paper top 25 & bottom’d out.
What’s ironic is that Rosier did put up **** good #’s to start off the season. Right now, King has accounted for 2,237 ttl yrds & 18 TDs on 63.8% compare that to Rosier accounting for 2282 ttl yrds & 19 TDs on 57.3% in 2017.
Now one thing working in favor of this 2020 team is that it’s played 1 G5 opponent, and 6 ACC opponents. Both the 2013 & ‘17 squads played 1 FCS, 1 G5 to start off, but both also played a top 15 (at the time) OOC opponent.
What’s going to set this 2020 team apart from its predecessors is how we finish. Both collapsed and that collapse carried over to the following year. Right now, it’s a bit premature to compare them to each other, b/c even though there are similarities, we just don’t know how the season will end & what domino will fall (for better or worst) the following seasons.
