So Lockslee and Enos..

Kirby fumbles that “mistake free football” mantra in multiple big games every year.
See the 2 blow out losses in:
2017 vs auburn
2018 vs lsu

not to even mention the coaching blunders he’s had vs bama those years

Mistake free football is limited flags and good fundamentals. Every coach calls plays they wish they hadn’t.

I am talking about the performance on the field. UGA largely plays mistake-free football. You can tell that they have a standard and are held to it.

That is not true. In 2017, Miami was #41 in fewest penalites while Georgia #82. In 2018, Miami was #48 while Georgia was #44. This year Georgia is #84. Yes, Miami is currently #124. In turnover lost, in 2017 Georgia was #34 and Miami was #48 with the difference being 2 turnovers. In 2019, Miami is #3 and Georgia is #15. Yes, Georgia was terrific in 2018 at #15 while Miami was awful at #117.

Clearly shows UGA is rapidly improving. We average 19 yards more of penalties per game than they do and despite playing the exact amount of games, they have 13 fewer penalties.

we have done a good job with turnovers but that’s a result of our conservative offense. If anything that’s a Jarren Williams stat.

I would be curious to see the number of unsportsmanlike like calls per team. I would also like to see missed tackles and dropped passes.

Is this a function of coach or player?

TE is way ahead of last year. Brevin already has in 4 games 16 catches for 233 yds 14 ypc, last year in 9 games 32 catches for 287 yds 9 ypc.

So are we saying enos offense is not better than last year or are we saying that there was a better oc /qb coach that should have been selected.

I am in no way happy but in what I see WR QB are better last year. RB TE about the same. OL I think is better but could be worse. OL is keeping us from being a top 15-25 team on offense.

Your premise is incorrect. Georgia runs the ball 60% of the time and dinks and dunks with a veteran quarterback with over 30 starts. They are generally a conservative offense that plays very good defense. Even when comparing Georgia against Miami it is a mixed bag. That being said Georgia got really, really good when they upped their bag game to compete with Alabama. They are loaded with 4 and 5 stars. You think James Coley all of a sudden became a very good coordinator?

Throwing high percentage throws isn't the issue. Our problem is we are conservative in the red zone. It was the same with Coley, Richt, and so far Enos. At this point, I wonder what those our coaches have seen that make them so scared in the red zone. What is sad about this is I think I think Jarren would do pretty well if we asked him to be more aggressive in the red zone.

Georgia got really good when they started Kirby Smart. Richt had teams that were loaded with talent, but they always dropped at least one game to a random school. Miami has also been a high penalty team that tackles poorly. The problem is that college football has improved and you can't make those mistakes and win.

completely agree with this man... I dont Understand it either. I’ve been wanting more aggressive playcalling in the endzone for years

Georgia also got the benefit of the SEC East falling apart and the SEC not being nearly as good. For example, Florida won the division in 2015 and 2016 and Florida State absolutely embarrassed them both years. Alabama then blew them out in the SEC championship games. The mightly SEC is 17-19 the last 3 years in bowl games. The previous 3 years (2013, 2014 and 2015) the SEC was 23-10 in bowl games. Richt's Georgia teams played in a stronger league with more parity.

Because talent>coaching. For some reason the typical reaction is to just point the finger at the coaches. It usually isnt a binary thing. Coaching matters when talent is close.

Which just shows that while assistant coaches are important, they can't save a corch. Saban can plug in anyone and he's still Saban. Look at how great those guys who left Miami for Bama looked after they weren't retained by Al. They were just decent here under Shannon but world beaters at Bama.
