So, I thought the Gaytors were going to take a step back, but...

Two preseason AA's on their OL.
One in their DL.
If the QB plays well, they will be decent. If he gets banged up with their schedule they will struggle.
Can't overlook how they ended the season last year.

Wait who are their 2 preseason OL All Americans??

...I've been reading about the Gates the last couple of days that they are better than I thought they would be this season. I thought they lost a lot and their QB seemed OK, but not special. But, I'm guessing.

For you experts out there, how good will they be this year and how do they line up against us?
I don’t know if you’re trolling or you just don’t know anything about football, but I’ll answer it. They won’t be good this year. And that’s not Canes glasses talking. They lost a ton to the draft and the transfer portal and did not replace them. Their quarterback has a hurt shoulder that they’re praying can get them through the season, but I’m here to tell you, it would be a miracle if he lasted half the season. The shoulder needs surgery. Does that answer your question?

Just hope they're ranked and undefeated going into our game so we can get a big win at home!
LSU is going to beat their brains in the week before we get them. Ranked? Maybe but only because of SEC bias. Undefeated? No shot.

As with everyone, depends on QB and I don’t mean a health standpoint. Lagway takes another step and we’re 8+ wins. OL is solid, got to get better in pass pro. RB room is VERY good. WR room has top 10 in the country POTENTIAL, but someone has to establish themself as a legit #1 threat.

Defensively….good returning production but still a bit thin for my liking along the DT spot. LB’s should be the best position unit on the whole team and one of the best in the country by seasons end imo. Corner room is solid but lack experience depth, same with the safety room. I think we have the best nickel room in the country, Denson and Gates are unbelievable when healthy.

Very good review. Thanks for taking the time - much appreciated!

You posting here is good for Dmoney and I'm happy for him but I don't understand why people give you the time of day this is absolutely brain dead. You've got the worst case as an over for your Vegas total? Those guys aren't me, they don't hate single thing about your ****** team. Do we even know if DJ is healthy to start the season?? no we don't.

Hadn't seen this. Still doesn't change the question of if he's healthy to start the season. Billy put him in harms way last year when his job was on the line, My guess is he has 3 drives very safe and they hope to take him out with a lead. If he's going to take the "step" your talking about he will be using his legs a lot I doubt he's ready for that right now.

Yea. I agree with the running aspect. Def have to use his feet more but he’s risking getting nicked up. And also with teams, i’m expecting this, taking away the deep ball, he BETTTTER make sure his intermediate accuracy has improved cause it wasn’t there last year. More talent at WR imo should help

he seems to be already " nicked up " If he has to run for his life then that "nicked up" might become " career ended" because he shouldn't have been playing.

You know everyone that plays you guys are going to aiming for that shoulder and one good slam ( worth 15 yds for most teams) and he might be done for good.

So you posted a link from an $EC Slurper showing him/her slurping the $EC as "proof" of difficult schedules. That graphic tells me two things:

1. Kelley Ford and its pronouns slurp the $EC.
2. According to Kelley Ford, if you're not in the B1G/$EC, you need to win 10 games to make the playoffs....and if you are in them, you need only 9, maybe only 8 to make it.

But feel free to believe that ACC schedules are the same as SEC schedules LOL

Cherry-picking? What in the actual **** are you talking about?

Before Florida's "oh-so-amazing" 4-game winning streak, they were TERRIBLE.

The beat four horrible teams that were 4-8, 4-8, 4-7, and 2-10. You can't even argue that. And four of their five losses were by double-digits, as their craptastic defense gave up 41, 33, 34, and 49 points in those 4 losses. You can't even argue that.

Oooooh, but we should give them credit for TWO games that you claim were "competitive". And we should disregard the fact that their offensive like got TWO quarterbacks injured twice apiece. Maybe, just maybe, the Gators were SO bad last year BECAUSE they kept allowing their QBs to get demolished, to the point where they had to play a walk-on transfer from the Ivy League.

Sure, I'm "cherry-picking". I specifically cited EIGHT of the nine games the Gators played before that 4-game winning streak. Unlike you, I don't glaze Florida or Slingblade Billy for that "competitive" Tennessee loss as if it is a miraculous "turnaround" game.
They beat good LSU and Ole Miss teams, blew out inferior opponents, and were competitive with UGA and Tenn. They played very well the last couple of months of the season.

I didn't say that, nor did I imply that. However I did clearly imply that being in the B1G and $EC gets preferential treatment, right or wrong, based on the graphic.

You can feel free to do a few things too....starting with learning that not everything in life is either/or. Nuance is real. I don't understand why so many people do this false dichotomy thing, but it's everywhere and your response was an excellent illustration.

Have a nice day.
