As I was with the Richt hire, I'm going to be cautiously optimistic.

I really like Simpson being named AHC. Keeping the D staff intact will promote continuity and certainly help in recruiting. Time will tell.

Hopefully, Richt will now address the other side of the ball.

feelings don't matter much. Watch the recruits reactions over the next several weeks and then reports from Spring about the defense before seeing the new defense come fall. I like that they are young guys with energy who can work together on game-plans to make the defense live up to the standard.
