and how it impacted their players, from a strength, speed, injuries, etc. stand point? I seem to recall people pointing out that UGA suffered lots of injuries over the last few years.

Would like to to get an idea of what we may be getting with the new S&C guys.

Georgia always looked the part when I saw them. That's about all I can add though

Watch the 2012 SEC Championship game

They looked on par with one of the biggest and most imposing college football teams I've ever seen.

These coaches look horrible...
Every year Miami was at the top of their position for strength, but none of it translated to the field. I hope I'm wrong about this, but this is definitely a downgrade.

I can't believe Mark Richt passed on hiring Dr.Pat Ivey or Shannon Turley and instead is choosing to bring his UGA strength people who are also getting fired by Kirby Smart.

Shannon Turley would have been able to keep the old canes coming back to work because his training methods are cutting edge and even the NFL is copying it.

Three years in a row they had a RB tear a knee ligament. Marshall, Gurley, then Chubb. They were all contact injuries. That does not indicate S&C issues.

Conley was the weird one. He tore his ACL jumping in celebration after he scored a TD. The thinking was that it must have been partially torn before that happened.

Those are the major injuries I can recall.

Georgia OL have always been plenty strong enough. I remember about 4 or 5 years ago they had a starting line with 2 True freshman on it, and yet they were still dominating.

I will check with a good friend of mine who is a UGA alum and ask him his thoughts on the subject.

definitely appreciate all the tape and info you bring to the board. But outside of pete's report(which he's been wrong on a few), how do we even know Ivey had any interest in coming here?

He's unemployed and in Missouri...

Good stuff here.

**** Pat Ivey.

If he ain't comin then he has no bearing on our program. I want to know what our guys are going to do. That 2012 SEC championship game was impressive. If our guys look like that then we will be ok.

oh so he doesn't have a family or life there or anything that he w&ould have to move.

Love how posters on here think we could literally have anyone in the country and it's us "passing on them" when they don't come here.

Unless there's actually reports saying he wanted the job then I don't believe it. It's not like we got a sorry staff. UGA has been no pushover in S&C. Certainly better than Swassey

Watched some of it. If we look like that I got no complaints about the S&C hires. 2012 was the first year that the guys we just hired were at UGA so it's a good indication of what we may get.

People actually thought we were gonna steal every top notch coach and had unlimited money. People deluded themselves and now they are disappointed at what to me seems like a solid staff.
