So Applewhite, Coley and Fedora are the Finalist for OC?

Ponce as the QB coach? Manny said that he wanted the staff to reflect the city of Miami, I guess he meant little Havana. What **** has Ponce done? Applewhite got booted by Saban and looked bad without Briles calling plays. James "Cuban Coffee" Coley is good a twitter. Fedora is a our best choice and he is washed up, he recruits like Richt, couldn't find a QB after Trubisky.
we don't know who they are to be honest but I wouldn't expect coley. coley is a pro style guy that's not what diaz wants if u listen to him read between lines he wants a modern up tempo offense so a spread type even if there are tons of spread offense now so could be one of 10 different types of spread

Steal Coach Leach's OC away from him! Now. Because sunny humid south Florida is much better than UNKNOWN desolate Pullman, Washington.:zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg::zczkqmritjdsoaq.jpg:

I would bring Coley in to coach TEs and be the Recruiting Coordinator or ST Coordinator.

Either way get Fedora here to be the OC, let him pick the OL coach, get Seider and Coley to coach RBs and TEs, and then get Major Applewhite to coach the QBs. If not get Ken Dorsey from Appy State to be the QB coach.

Bunch of whiners on this site. No hire is going to make everyone happy. Folks are going to ***** no matter who it is. We aren’t that far away in my opinion. Anyone we bring in at OC is going to be more successful than what we have had the last 3 seasons. Our offense was bland and ineffective, but that was because of the philosophy and awful position coaches. Both of those problems are out the window now. We can all agree we have athletes. We have playmakers. They’ve just been misused in an outdated offense. And of course our QBs suck. That’s the most important position and we had the most underqualified coach on our staff prepping them. No one in that QB room could have respected Jon with his credentials. They were destined to fail. Only thing I’m worried about on the defensive side is our lack of depth at a few positions. But you couple our defense from the past 3 years with an offense that even remotely has a pulse, next year has the potential to be a lot of fun.

This is like lukes twitter post. Are you guys really going to make this into a Cuban vs black thing? I am neither so frankly I don’t see any reason to have racial quotas on the staff. I’m sure there will be plenty of black coaches. Not sure they are going to be from liberty City but I’m sure there will be a few good black coaches on the staff.

If Manny is convinced Fedora is the guy then I would still try to stack Coley or Applewhite on the staff for OC depth; []__[] should have enough $$ to do it. Also would be nice to get Ken Dorsey in there somewhere for development as well. He could function in the same capacity he is at App. St. without needing an ***. coach title.

I wonder how King Slayer feels about Diaz and his OC options. He definitely hasn't posted in like every thread and his now making his own.

We get it. If you mope enough maybe others will mope with you. What a fun life!!

I can't fathom how that list is completely unacceptable to some, the same people who would struggle to name more than 5 college OCs without Googling. Either Fedora or Applewhite have a lot of potential. Coley isn't my first choice, but we'd all think differently of him had his counterpart played a little defense, especially in the second half of FSU games.

One thing about Fedora that may, or may not, matter is that his long-time OL coach Chris Kapilovic was recently hired at Colorado...I mention this because he has been with Fedora for a few years.

All the more reason we need to close on Fedora, and quickly.

What a letdown to the next 2 choices, if they are in fact Coley and Applewhite

For the record, I'd bet Manny has something else up his sleeve if Fedora flakes out.
Ain’t no way Coley is in the Top 3. I refuse to believe that.

If he is....we’re ****ed.

I rebuke that notion as well. Even if it is true, I refuse to accept it because it would totally change my perception of Manny before we even play our first game. I'm not even sure I'd want Coley on staff as a QBC. Fromm didn't progress and having him that close to the OC spot on the org chart could open a path for him to OC if someone like Fedora killed it here and then decided to move on.

Let me preface this by saying Coley would not be in my top 3 for OC either, but I wonder if he had never coached at Miami under Golden if he'd be thought better of by folks.

but you need to focus on #4....that's going to be the "amazing" one.

I think when you read the quote it sounds that way, but when u listen to the quote, I took it as, even if these top 3 don’t work out, the 4th on my list is still top notch
