SMDH at Lamar Thomas

We rip the program to shreds every ******* day like its our job... alumni/fans alike on here. Funny thing... it is the man's job. It's business.

So its cool when our former players rip the program on social media? You think that helps recruiting?

What's really sad is he's ripping the fans not the program. Go to the ******* games if you don't like it.

While I agree our fans need to step it up, there's a difference between doing your job and being a ****. He's being a ****.

Don't be a ****.

Some of you "fans" would help an arsonist burn down your own house because there was a leak in the roof. There's a difference between being objectively critical about parts of the program and actively trying to harm it. Lamar, Mario, etc. ain't offering constructive criticism because they bleed da orange and green and want to see us rise again. We're all about letting people **** on the program and the area because they're just kids wanting to get out of Miami or they're former players and get a lifetime pass no matter what or they're a washed up rapper pushing 60...

He should shut his mouth. He made one of the most embarrassing plays ever in the history of UM football. Then he made an *** out f himself on-the-air during that FIU game.

Who's a former rapper pushing 60?

Grandpa is more appropriate than "Uncle". Heard he's looking at retiring to The Villages. Shorter ride to Tally.

Lamar is right. The choice is yours....

Excuses, excuses, excuse! Funny how they don't want to hear them from the coaches, yet they have a million why they don't go to the games.

Truth be told about Lamar is that he's more than butthurt about not ever being offered a position on our staff. When he was at a junk school in Virginia the dude was telling anyone that'd listen how bad he wanted a job here. It's both childish and hypocritical to be blasting us now though when he was almost begging to come back to this "dump" oh so recently.

Post a picture of Lamar's half-empty head or a gif of him being gimped by Teague. Lamar was the star in the single most emasculating play in UM history. Teague, who wasn't known for his speed, walked Lamar down like he was standing still and then took the ball from him like he was his baby daughter.

He did this the week of or the week after the game with Louisville, so this is old news. If that's really the spring game, then he's even more of a tool. Lastly, would he have posted that crap when he played at Miami (if they had social media back then)?

Bottom line is Louisville is a **** town. What else can they try to sell? Does he really want to compare that ****hole to Miami and South Beach? Look at Louisville's old ugly buildings. Looks like one big slum. Kentucky? Meth-head state.

Colleges don't have football teams because of some undying loyalty to traditions and past successes. They have them to get generate revenue for the school. The onus of low attendance is not solely (or even half) on the fans. It is a result of the decisions made by the administrators. Decisions in terms of the coaching staffs for the past 8 years, and playing in the SLS. Among others. If you don't put a top experience (i.e. product) out there for fans (i.e. customers) then they wont be in attendance (i.e. purchase).

Serious question here.
Has there ever been a time at Sun Life Stadium when Canes games were a hot ticket? Sold out or close to it? Was it sold out under Randy Shannon? I could look it all up but Im guessing you guys might have real info and perspective.

The game where we were blown out by FSU under Randy Shannon. That was a hot ticket. I made the trip down from Atlanta for that ****.

There is a lot of truth to what you say here. I noticed that a school like FSU has 4 times the enrollment of Miami. That's a LOT of automatic seats filled without even trying! Does Miami have a lot of commuters that don't live on campus? I imagine it's a higher percentage than most considering where it's located.
We've been touring colleges with my soon to be college-bound son and so many of these schools are located in the middle of some nowhere hick town...for real.

Bandwagon fans?

Nithing made me sicker than when lebron came to miami all these would be fans flocked to the arena as if they were die hard fans and bragged about how much they loved the heat. This year it will be a ghost town and its sad how people treat theur "team" when their down. I support the kids who commit to the U and didnt do like alot of you "fans" and turn your backs on our U, ill say this about golden just like i did about randy either solve the problems or gtfoh but i also renew my season tickets every year.

Former UM star Lamar Thomas, now a Louisville assistant, recently posted a picture of a half-empty Sun Life Stadium on his Facebook page to try to damage UM in recruiting. (We would expect more from you, Lamar.)-Barry Jackson South Florida Sports Buzz

cane card officially revoked.

I have absolutely no problem with Lamar Thomas posting that picture to convince recruits not to come here. It's a weakness to be sure and it's hardly breaking news. It's fair game as it is the cold hard reality of the situation. As a coach on that staff it is his job to recruit against the opposition. Highlighting the oppositions weaknesses is and always has been part of college football recruiting.

First off who cares? As I stated above our attendance woes are well documented. This program has many other positives to sell. If the school is growing tired of being on the wrong end of that criticism then it behooves them to change it.

It's a dog eat dog world out there. We deal with it and overcome like we have always done. This program has gotten soft. That's the underlying issue I see here. The Miami Hurricanes overturned the college football establishment and redefined it's landscape. Traditionally as a program, we gave no quarter and expected none. I also SMH because that philosophy seems to have changed and certainly not for the better.

Except it's false... Other than that
