We tend to focus on physical tools with receivers, but in the past few years Miami's best receivers have been the smart guys. Allen Hurns, Phillip Dorsett and Braxton Berrios did everything right off the field and it translated to the field. Now, KJ Osborn and Mike Harley are the two guys we can count on.
Jeremiah Payton may be the next guy to fit in this mold.
Antonio Brown is football smart and works like a maniac. That's why he succeeds despite average physical tools. Julio Jones has the mentality of a walk-on along with supreme physical tools, similar to Andre Johnson.
It's not about book smarts, necessarily.

akeem jollah comes to mind. I can still see him on his scooter riding around campus. Sleeping in the back of classes. There is a requisite level of athleticism, but we had other guys who had those traits. The smart guys are the ones who succeed.
You are seeing a similar thing in the NFL. Cooper Kupp and Tyler Lockett are third and fourth in the league in receiving despite being overlooked as three-star recruit/third round picks. Both guys are students of the game.
He’s coming off of a 2 game suspension of course that’s why the snap count was like thatThe fact Jeff Thomas had like 31 snaps while Harley had like 50 is just plain ridiculous, idgaf what anyone says Thomas is an all around better WR than Harley, and the fact he isn't playing up to his ability is a failure with our WR coach.

Thats a dumb excuse. So then he had a 2.5 game suspension? He’s coming off of a 2 game suspension of course that’s why the snap count was like that
...honestly do u look at cavers stats at UGA lmao..he’s the lead wr for a sorry *** group of WRs production and consistency wise..**** maybe even talent wise as those guys were all high level recruits..but don’t look like it..this with a elite college QBIf jeff thomas was at oklahoma, clemson, or lsu he would be a compotent offense he would be top 5 WR in the country. His release is elite and he is open every other play. Think abt this cager left and plays like andre johnson. Jeff thomas def better than cager lol
