No way man.... that was intentional. It was not your "traditional" onside kick but thats what caught them off guard. The ball hit the ground a yard in front of the tee and Jose stopped running right after he kicked or topped it and burns was looking for the bounce back. I also don't think that ball makes it beyond the 25 as it was already bouncing.
Also look at NC State's alignment. They had 4 guys right at the 35 yard line, then 2 at the 25 yard line but both were wayyyy outside the hashes and **** near on the #s then 3 on the 15 and 2 in the endzone. There was a hugeeee gap in the middle of the field, it was an alignment someone saw and took advantage of at the right time.
Based on his reaction afterwards, he intended to do it, he stops right after he kicks it then hauls *** to the sideline pumping his fist. you are right maybe it is a low percentage it hits him (maybe not with how accurate he as been), but no denying it hit the ground a yard after he kicked it and it was meant to be a scramble for the ball in the middle of the field that Manny saw as a low risk proposition with the penalty. Even if they recover it they are prob. on their own 35, not awesome field position but not terrible.
