since you love your boy Jaoquin

This is one of the many reason I say I’d never touch this job if I were a head coach. So much more hs than other programs.
Why? A secure, knowledgeable football leader gives a solid thumbs up to outside opinions, while making the decisions necessary to make his program successful. He's not hired to appease alumni. I'm not sure why we really care about these perspectives as much as we do. I'd imagine it's because these players are with whom we last won, so we want to believe they know something magical to get us back there? You know what every former UM player would agree with? Meaningful wins.

Former players only remember the glory but never the games they crashed and burned.

There have been about five truly “meaningful” wins here in most of their lifetimes.

Joaquin acts like he's 80 years old. His takes are almost always "get off my lawn" type rants. Dude's been acting like an angry old goat since he was in his 30s. Seems like one of those weirdos who still likes that dude who got thrown off twitter.

Former players is one of the ingredients , small ingredient but still an ingredient
Yup it's such a lose lose situation for our coaches get bashed for not having former players involved then they get bashed for not having other players come back but not have player x,y,z. Then get bashed for hirings. Our problem is we fail to realize we have been down for going about 15 years and essentially never rebuild
