If we’d blown them out (which we easily could have if our passing game got off the bus), then we’re getting a two-week long BJ.
We’re probably ranked top 3 and feeling great during a bye week, sky high.

We already had tons of media fellatio all week. Enough rat poison for a long while.

Now the staff doesn’t have to sell anyone on the need to get much better. I’ll give Beck and the O a mulligan. They’ve played pretty well this season, won’t be at their best every game. Beautiful thing is we’re complimentary so when we needed it, our D rowed the boat. And we still ran the ball down their throats for the most part.

I’ll take a home dub all day over UF. We’re 4-0 with wins over two of our biggest all-time rivals. We’re ranked in the top 5. And we have plenty of motivation going into a bye week before yet another hated rival, who happens to be top 10.

Oh, and we have a muthafking DEFENSE again.

Weirdly a good thing to be a little nit picky. We’ve had losses in the last decade where I was less annoyed than I was at halftime. It feels nice to care again.

I said all week on here that UF's defense is very good. Watched them a lot. It's just hard to get in rhythm against them. It's an absolute slog for almost anyone that plays them going on two years now.

I think you can have concern with Beck, and it's warranted, but honestly the entire passing game today was not great. A couple key drops, guys not running the right routes or even looking for the ball. It was weird.

4 million is a lot of money for a game manager. It was a good defense, but they were also banged up. I don’t think NFL teams are going to be particularly impressed with his season so far. He needs to prove he’s more than a caretaker QB against FSU.

No he doesn’t put up anything close to the stat line. I didn’t say Williams is as good as Beck. I am saying the OL and defense are so dominant we would still win with Williams. Any reasonably competent college QB would be fine since they are rarely pressured.

That’s the sign of a championship roster.

I think we have a championship roster on both sides of the ball and any reasonably competent college QB (one who doesn’t turn the ball over) would be putting up solid numbers given that he would have all day in the pocket , he has stud RBs, and good defense WRs.

I'm very impressed with the defense.

Guys hit hard and move quickly. Tackling is better.

Huge turn around from last year. Guys who were literally unplayable last year are impacting the game.

All the transfers are playing well.

I'd like to see a true 1st round LB come in next year.

Is Williams a reasonably competent QB? I think he is. As I said - I think any reasonably competent QB could have beaten ND given how well the OL and defense played . Would certainly be a far more difficult game without Beck but it would still be winnable. Even against ND , I didn’t think “we 100% lose this game if any other QB other than Beck is playing.” Last year you could absolutely say, “We 100% lose this game if anyone but Ward is at QB.” You actually think Beck has looked like a uniquely talented QB so far?

Execution was lacking and we can’t blame the USF bush league jumping for our center acting like it’s their first game.. either way get the win and spend the entire bye week coaching and reminding the team every single week you will get every teams best haymaker
