So who does? The LSU team that just struggled with this same 1-3 UF team and 1-3 Clemson? Ohio State who squeaked by a Texas team whose QB makes Beck’s performance tonight look like Cam Ward’s best day?

Rankings are all relative, but half this fanbase seems to think unless we look like the 01 team we can’t be the best team in the country.

I’m not worried about other teams I’m worried about our own. If we struggled against a struggling rival whose QB who through 5 picks on the road to LSU what do you expect when we play a rival on the road in fsu riding a high
 
Keeping it buck... we'd whip a couple teams ranked higher than we are currently...
So don't need no silver linings lol

I agree with you but I'll throw Oklahoma in there as the 2 teams who look good on both sides against comp worth a ****.

I think you can have concern with Beck, and it's warranted, but honestly the entire passing game today was not great. A couple key drops, guys not running the right routes or even looking for the ball. It was weird.

The rain certainly didn't help but you are right on the money about UiF and their defense being very very good. That was the best defense we will see all regular season.

I think he likes being at UM. Doesn’t mean he isn’t good enough to be a QB at a lower level P4. He certainly not as good as Carson Beck but I don’t think we need an all-star QB this season.

I think some people misunderstood what I said and think I’m saying Beck isn’t good. Not what I said. I think this team is so complete that just about any reasonably competent QB would be undefeated right now.

Beck is something like 29-3 (30-3 maybe?) so he knows how to win. That clutch ability will come in handy later down the road when the defense has a let down game. I’m extremely happy that we have him and we are going to need him. He is going to be the difference between us going 9-3 or us going 11-1. That said I think there are plenty of QBs in cfb that would be 4-0 with this team right now.

Mateer is tremendous, their front 7 is legit, but they can’t block or catch for ****, and idk about that secondary. Massive paper tiger imo
