SIAP (Scrimmage Tonight?)

"Grown men looking for something to ***** about" or long-time fans who have genuine concerns and are tired of seeing 'more of the same'?

The secondary is gonna be great based on what?
People have their head in the sand. I’ll never forget Hornibrook for Wisconsin (who threw the ball like a transgender Bernie sanders) light this defense up. One of our best defenses. He was out there playing 11 on 0. With his noodle arm. Manny’s soft *** zone sucks

Right! lol
Wisconsin could barely throw the forward pass and Hornibrook lit us up.
Their True Freshman WR had a field day too. (as did Pitt's True Freshman WR last season)

We are almost guaranteed to allow someone mediocre to have a career versus us.

Its funny posters only remember the games when the defense didnt work but never bring up games when it was absolutely dominant. Its been a **** good defense way more than it wasnt. Im not saying it cant be tweaked but posters who come here to trash it are being short-sighted.

So all of their QB, RB and WR's stats were obtained versus our back-ups?
Is that what you're telling me?

Tutu Atwell had himself a day because our back-ups were in?
Orrrrrr because our coaches asked Bubba Bolden to play man coverage on him all game and made no effort to take their most explosive player out of the game?

There were huge running lanes for UL's RB because the back-ups were in?

Were the back-ups also in versus FIU when their RB had a day?
Were the back-ups in when we allowed the QB from South Dakota A&M to start 14/16 passing?

Tutu Atwell had 55 of his 114 yards and one of his two TDs on the final two drives against our backups.

Before that he had 60 yards and a TD, so you tell me.

Rosier's turnovers created short fields all game, and the corners got flat out beat for balls, dont remember much else defensively, The D came hyped again for that game and Rosier popped the balloon

I remember last year Macho was exposing chinks in our armor as early as the UAB game and people ****ted on him. The man knows his stuff maybe we should listen.
Been doing this for years...but then we play relatively well versus some offensive juggernaut like Pitt and sunshine slurpers wanna feed crow.

(and then the UNC game happens)

He certainly was some of the blame but when you’re out there on defense, your job is to stop the other team. And they definitely didn’t do that. It was way too easy for a guy who couldn’t throw a lick. I’ve never liked blaming the offense for the defense allowing teams to get into the end zone. I understand rosier’s pass to that D end was awful, but the defense was equally bad

Just sounds like more excuses. I don't care how/why he got what he got.
This happened a whole year after he had 6 catches for 152 yards against us.
He's their best offensive player and our game plan to take him out was having Bubba Bolden cover him.

Their QB went 26-36 for 307 yards and 3 TD's.
Their RB had 27 carries for 164 yards.

Those are phenomenal performances. Miss me with the excuses. I'm not trying to hear that **** man.
If you're defensive philosophy and culture (and recruiting) is up to par then you don't give up performances like that even with some of your back-ups getting burn.
They had 516 yards of offense! LOL

You know your QB can turn the ball over AND your defense can still play lights out, right?
That's what good defenses do.

We definitely have a history of making average QB's look all world. With that said, the thing that concerns me the most about waht you're saying is that IF Diaz doesn't let Trob coach the way he's accustomed to, he won't be here long. That guy will have way too many options to put up with that. Hopefully, that's not the case.

Yall always go to this dumb immature ****. Nobody is saying that.
Nah, I am just tired of people doing an overreaction on a scrimmage. Whether that scrimmage performance happens all the time or not is something that I dont care about until its September 4th.

Until then, I might need to resort to cynical humor in order to cope.

Literally all the top schools have had games when they get shredded by weaker opps especially if you can't create pressure there is no lock down defense nowadays and the game is set up to allow offenses to put up points.....at the end of the day we need to win games idc if every score is 50-49 I just want a national championship again lol
