SIAP (Scrimmage Tonight?)

Y'all gonna start to listen to me about George.... I said it on **** near every post about last yrs recruits. Our most underrated PLAYER and don't be shocked if he ends up the best wr out of the young guys. Yeah yeah yeah it's just a scrimmage but I been saying this!
I watched him at Plantation quite a few times and he always stood out. He’s not super fast, he’s just incredibly smooth on his routes. No wasted motion, no choppy steps to signal a break in the pattern. Just fluidity and the ability to get open. He was ALWAYS open in high school. If he can put on a couple pounds of muscle he could get playing time this year.

I think he's around 175 now, 185 would be much better but he should be physically able to hold up right now.

Since Manny got here this is where we've ranked in opponents completion percentage 63, 43, 11, 20, 83

The year before he got here we were 84th. So we're almost where he ended under Golden and D'Onofrio. Gotta hope '20 was an outlier season and yet another reason to be glad Baker is gone.
The pass efficiency defense rankings (much better indicator) look similar. They improved all three years under Diaz the DC. Including first in the nation in 2018. They got worse the two years under Baker.

If Bryce Young goes 12-16 in the Bama scrimmage or DJ Ukulele goes 12-16 in the Clemson scrimmage, does that mean those teams’ defenses are bad too?

Of course not. It means those kids are great. Only our defense can be bad. Plus, our fans would never say King was on the level of those 2 kids, so it's even more of an indictment on the staff and the team. Fire everybody.

Knew it... first scrimmage and already there are complaints.

No one in here was able to see the scrimmage, the plays, who played against who, etc. etc. etc., yet the blame is put on the defense already based off of completion percentages.

If King gets picked off twice in the next scrimmage and has 50% comp pct, whats the story then? Our offense is sorry and sucks?
I swear, yall MF'ers don't read at all.

I referenced EVERY SCRIMMAGE SINCE SPRING.
You missed that part?

All 3 QBs have looked good in the limited amount we've gotten to see, against a team that has a lot of DBs out, in a setting where DL pressure basically isn't allowed.... and maybe we just have good qbs and a good offense finally? Complaining that our starting Qb who is getting some heisman love had 75% Comp% in a scrimmage likely against our 2nd string defense is just lame.

Our pass defense has usually been pretty good under Diaz, and obviously the amount of Havoc we create is very high in his scheme. So I'll tell ya what if we get a 10 yard sack on 1st down and they want to pass short for 5 yards each on 2nd and 3rd down, I'm letting them have that all day. Idgaf if the Qbs completion% is 100% for 10 yards on a drive they needed 20 to get the first...
You say this as if we haven't allowed an opposing QB to start a game 14-14 passing before.

And this is why our offense is going to **** down their leg during the season when someone challenges them on defense.

When they get pattern-match or man coverage they're likely going to struggle.

Not everybody we play is going to give our offense easy 7-yard completions all the way down the field like our defense does in practice.
We have no LB's

If it happens EVERY TIME they scrimmage, yes.
Scrimmages always benefit the offense, that’s nothing new. QB has more time in the pocket knowing he will not get touched.

Not to mention youre talking about how we give up everything underneath, but every WR who had publicly released stats from the scrimmage had at least 15 yards per catch.

It’s also okay to recognize that we do indeed have a better QB room than most teams we will play.
