SIAP Roman keeping it real.

Electric. Props to Roman.

I just want to bring up something interesting, there are a couple of coaches with UM links whose names have been floated as possibilities for the USC job. Mario Cristobal AND Greg Schiano. Schiano plays tough disciplined football. Don't sleep on Schiano (though Lane Kiffin is still my leading candidate)

cept he's right you know. I haven't looked for a National Championship for I can't even say how long.. but I do expect the team to look competent. I don't see it at all. Outside of our two kickers, this team hasn't show us any position group worth half an ***. I haven't been this disillusioned about the Canes in a long time. Not Shannon, and not even Golden, even tho Golden came pretty close, have I felt this bad about the future of our Canes.
 
Roman is keeping it real because the film doesn’t lie , I’m no expert but I do know a lot more than an average fan about x’s / o’s and that’s why I‘ve had my panties in a bunch. People want to blame this guy , or this group and then defend another guy. Fact is they’ve all been awful , from the staff down. This goes back to last year , it’s just bad.

I posted other day Manny is coaching for his career this year , I‘ve also been talking up a certain coach elsewhere. Roman mentions both.

Manny is in hot water with a some people that you don’t want to be in hot water with at Miami. I’ll repeat what I said other day “ if this goes off the rails they’ll pull the plug during the season“. So when I mention the importance of this game i‘m not over selling it.

What we’ve seen here on his watch is unacceptable , theres no excuse for getting out coached most weeks.

This week is his career. Either we put it together and he gets more time or its over. Sorry but it is what it is. We have been outcoached for years and at some point that has to stop. Its one thing to have Saban take you to the cleaners but when lower tier teams do it all the time that is a glaring issue.

lets hope for the best. It does us no good as a program to keep losing

UNC last year was rock bottom. His Clemson game for me. His first year FIU was truly bottom of the barrel type stuff but it was year 1 so we knew it wasn’t gonna change anything.

Crazy though that there was apparently a real possibility of Miami pulling the plug after the App State game if we took an L. I guess that should put to rest the complaint that "the BOT doesn't care about football." (it won't)

Big difference between the Helton situation though - he was in his 7th season, that should have been long enough to evaluate him and he should have been fired before the season so they could get a new coach in place. Most of us wanted to see if Diazs offseason victories would translate to better play in year 3. Turned out it was the same sloppy play that got Miami beat by almost 40 to UNC, down 21-0 to OK State, crushed by Bama, then praying for a freshman kicker to win a game at home against a G5.

What I don't get though is why Blake James still has a job. If the BOT wants to send a message to Diaz that his a$$ is on notice, the school should have fired Blake James after App State. Let's say we had lost and Miami pulled the trigger- I would vomit in my mouth to think Blake James would be given yet another opportunity to set Miami sports back several years.

Cribby I’ll never go against info you give selflessly but I just don’t see that anyone involved with the program had that kind of pull. If they did I feel manny wouldn’t have been hired to begin with. What’s say you

I’ve always been told Blake is out with Manny if he’s let go. Maybe that changes but i don’t see how he survives. He’s ****ed off important folks as well. If we were to lose Saturday he’s officially on the hot seat. Its possible he goes on a run and everything is fine , but it’ll be a very uncomfortable ride.
