SIAP - Pfenninger

Yup. I've had 6 diagnosed, four of which I was knocked completely out. The last time I was out for about 20 minutes. I now have severe headaches about 5 days out of seven that typically last about 90 minutes. Nothing they can do for me except drugs, which I refuse to take due to risk of addiction and the stomach problems they create. I will say this: You do not want to live with these headaches.

move on. you are an intelligent, motivated and focused kid. you will have a very successful and meaningful life in whatever you do just because of who and what you are.

you'll need your brain, clean and healthy, along the way. conserve it.

Have a bye week and I will be in Miami this weekend. Planning on attending the game, hopefully the weather isn't too bad. On another note, I just got my 3rd diagnosed concussion last night, I've likely had a few others that I brushed off or were close. My parents talked to me a little about it today but likely going to have a more in depth conversation later this weekend on whether they want me to hang up the cleats or not.

I represent hundreds of former NFL guys in the concussion litigation. I've seen some real sad and scary stories. Just from your posts on here, I know you've got a great future ahead of you. Your choice is deeply personal, but for what it's worth, I would beg my brother to hang em up. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Be safe, if you miss the game real bad, there is always coaching... you did more than most will ever do! Have no shame. Go Canes!
