Wiseman was ruled ineligible not because of receiving money from Penny Hardaway high school coach, but because Hardaway was classified as a booster for Memphis since he had recently donated money to the school. So Wiseman was ineligible for having been paid by a Memphis booster. Unless Probst is a Memphis booster UM could care less about this.
This is the equivalent non-story of an NFL not caring about if a college kid was paid while in college.

Agreed. This is what happens in every county where you don’t get to choose where to go to HS. Coaches/Booster clubs play to have the kids move to be zoned to their school.

Anyhow, the Rush story is just pure lunacy. You would have a hard time making a more improbable and unbelievable story than what his life has been. As they say, life is sometimes stranger than fiction.
 
He did not play for Valdosta. He was going to but ruled ineligible to play there. They then allowed him to play for Grayson high in Grayson Ga.
 
Nothing much new here. Coach Basemore was doing that same stuff back in the 1960s at Valdosta when he was making their name. But he got along much better with the boosters than this guys does. The Boosters gave Basemore a house and a Cadillac.

Couple points here.

Garcia never played for Valdosta. He was ruled ineligible and had to transfer to another county.

None of this matters in the slightest for Miami. I don’t give a **** about some dirty high school coach. As long as he’s not connected to Miami on any way, it means jack schit.
