The excuses y'all making for Richt. My goodness. I'm going to call it was it is. Reading that was disturbing how a HC who had been there for 15 years let a newly hired DC take full control of his program with little resistance in front of his employers, other coaches, and players to the point it was clear to everyone involved.
Your the HC. You check everyone's attitude and ego at the door coach and player. Point Blank Period. Y'all can miss me with the excuses of what the admin did or did not do. What I read was a HC kneeling to a employee. That has nothing to do with the UGA admin. Richt is the boss he is suppose to check dude at the door or handle that situation when it present itself ESPECIALLY when it in front of your players. You can't be a softie and risk losing the respect of your players.. you just can't. It also show how dysfunctional your staff is and player won't trust them.
Also the hires seem to be flat out terrible. The most concerning hire is that he hired a S&C coach that appeared to not have any clue what he was doing. I also found it interesting how Richt let Manny hire people similar to how he let Pruitt hire people. If Manny had Pruitt's balls I wonder if Manny could do the same thing Pruitt did.
No one can read that and not be concerned. NO ONE.
If you go back to what Richt kept saying when he was first hired, he always kept repeating that he wanted to be more "involved". The problem at UGA was that the AD and the UGA president wanted Richt to be more of a CEO (because he was good at raising money), and wanted the coordinators to handle their side of the ball. I just think by the end, he was over the UGA situation altogether.
