SIAP: Grad Transfer tracker....

This would be nice but I would think Syracuse won't let him transfer to another ACC school.

I don’t believe schools have the ability to block where you go as a graduate transfer - I think the rule says something about area of study that is not available at your current institution but other than that he can go anywhere he chooses. To my knowledge he does not have to be granted a release.

Of course I could be wrong but I believe that was how the rule is administered.

Medley,

Thanks for this info. I’ve never seen this site.

One guy caught my eye: offensive tackle Calvin Anderson of Rice. He’s been a three year starter there. No idea of his talent level. But, that’s a lot of experience.

He’s actually good...he just doesn’t want to lose anymore and they’re gonna lose a lot next year.

This was a great find by Medley. Rice just hired a new staff. I'm sure this player isn't wanting to have to learn a new system. They hired Jerry Mack to run their offense. Mack was formally the head coach at North Carolina Central University.

I believe at that point it becomes a conference rule issue. The kid from Alabama that wanted to transfer to UGA in 2016 was a grad transfer. But the SEC had a conference rule forbidding it unless the school waived it. Kid and his mom basically cried and carried out a PR campaign until Saban was shamed into allowing it.

Didn't want to learn new system and probably sick of losing.
Yeah, Jerry Mack is a name to follow.
I also like the coaches at Grambling St although I think their OC recently took a HC gig.

Eric Dooley was the OC at GSU. He was FCS Assistant Coach of the Year in 2016. He was just named HC at Prairie View A&M University. Rice is an excellent school academically, so Anderson got out of it what he went there for. Like you said, he's probably looking to finish by playing with a program that gives him a chance to win.

Didn't know Nick Linder went to Indiana[/QUOTE

Yes, Nicole Linder is going to Indiana and hopefully we will never hear of that POS ever again.
I second this!!!!

Maybe I missed something but what did Linder do?

Nothing that would warrant Canes fans from posting that. Little twats.

I agree. Would love to see them say that to his face.

Cuse fans think he's a big loss, so he might be worth a look. Him , the juco de and the Fr Dl would make me feel a lot more comfortable about next year. Mixed with the returning db and incoming db it would probably be enough to get back to
Accg

This was on his Twitter account. Looks like they can block them from any ACC schools. Surprised didn't know that was true for graduate students.

They can block but if you're not on schedule some schools aren't as stricht. There's been quite a few kid transfer within conference. Mike Williams to Miami being one.

I still think it's wrong that a school can block a grad transfer from moving on to another school.
You've done your time, graduated and all, there is no reason why a school should affect your choice.
Abuse of power to me.
