Each of our previous first time head coach hires struggled to find quality assistant coaches. People who are established in an industry don't tend to go to work for unproven entities. I can see Manny having some struggles.


As for the "prominent player," its been speculated that Jalen Hurts might want to transfer to play for Applewhite if he were hired here. Houston connection between the two.

Who knows though.

While your point about unproven entity head coaches has some merit (maybe especially for someone that is a former head coach themself and older like Fedora), I think it should easily be outweighed by the fact that the new OC is going to basically have total autonomy over the offense. That has to make this job even more attractive. When the head guy has no experience on your side of the ball and seemingly has no interest in meddling then that has to be a more ideal setting than a head coach with an offensive background.

The really sad thing is if we’d just hired Coley instead of Richt 4 years ago, we could have paid him 1.5 mm less per year, saving 6 mm we could have instead donated to the IPF fund to make sure it was hooked up with gold chans and bling, and finished sooner. Plus, Coley would have recruited much better. Amd so when he got fired, the next coach would have had a better roster, and a better IPF. And since follow8ng one cuban with another would be weird, we’d by definition not have to hear about mammy or mario.

Exactly. Monroe is an effing clown. IF true- instead of using his platform to encourage said supposed player to stay or even criticize the player for thinking about leaving (as some other alumni might), what does he do? Teases a potential negative for his alma mater for attention on social media. Let's get a paternity test and see if Warren Sapp is his real father.
