Add this:Pulitzer-worthy sports journalism…
James, who became the Hurricanes athletic director in '13, played a role in Miami's process to hire Diaz. Diaz previously served as the defensive coordinator under former Hurricanes coach Mark Richt. Following Richt's decision to resign on Dec. 20, 2018, Miami made the decision to hire Diaz as head coach a few hours later.
First hand knowledge of Frenk destroying a competent and advancing admissions staff...He screws up everything he touches...Send him back to Mexico City to be the bureaucrat he was, he has no business being a University President.

Trump supporter or “they” probably would be. Maybe, Michelle Obama dawning a patriotic red, white and blue bikini announcing her 2024 run for POTUSYou just wait and Bruce Jenner is on the cover next year
You misspelled Michael.Trump supporter or “they” probably would be. Maybe, Michelle Obama dawning a patriotic red, white and blue bikini announcing her 2024 run for POTUS
And they say "Miami is irrelevant".The thing to take from this is not the fact that SI pushed out an article with no substance in an attempt to pile on. The thing to take from this is that the national sports media has taken quite an interest in what is currently going on at UM as far as our AD search, possible/likely replacing Diaz etc. The point is that this administration is under the national media microscope and everyone is watching and waiting to see what UM does. Everyone wants to know if UM is going to step up to the plate and deliver in terms of making the football program a priority. Can you imagine what we will hear on every sports show if UM screws this up and brings Diaz back?
If you thought that this administration was uncomfortable when Kirk Herbstreit called them out on College Game Day just imagine how much they will squirm if they don't get this right or at least give the impression that they are going all out in an effort to get things right? What if Mario says no and UM decides to keep Diaz for another year? What do you think the media will say if we bring Diaz back knowing that Lane Kiffin would have come if we had offered? It would be an unmitigated bloodbath!
Point being that after Herbstreit let the cat out of the bag, it set in motion a tsunami sized wave of curiosity, scrutiny and speculation that caught the status quo contingent at UM completely flat footed. Before all this they could afford to be as negligent and incompetent as they could be because nobody but us were paying attention. Now the lights are on and they have been exposed for all to see. Now, whatever Miami does and whatever decisions Miami makes regarding it's football future will be made with the knowledge that the entire nation is paying attention. That's good.
Let me guess. “Miami’s search is a mess, they should close down the program”.![]()
