Exactly. Frenk has been failing the University and neglecting the athletic department for years. To just assume that he's now running a professional, organized, covert, thorough AD search is just sticking your head in the sand. Doesn't mean we won't be happy with the end result, but I'm sure there are some growing pains after he's neglected that department for his entire tenure and allowed it to rot and get poisoned under Blake and the corrupt BOT members.

James, who became the Hurricanes athletic director in '13, played a role in Miami's process to hire Diaz. Diaz previously served as the defensive coordinator under former Hurricanes coach Mark Richt. Following Richt's decision to resign on Dec. 20, 2018, Miami made the decision to hire Diaz as head coach a few hours later.
 
Funny how the article didn’t mention that dbag Blake caused this issue by not only being incompetent but by allowing various BOT members to control him into making the decisions that they wanted. Now these same a$$kickers are trying to do the same thing here and all of them are working to compete with one another, accomplishing nothing and making a mockery of this once respected program…probably so that they could take personal credit for decisions when this team gets back to glory. All of the obsession to get credit for the turnaround is ruining this program. These idiots need to get out of their own way and allow this hired to make decisions to do their job.

The article also didn’t explain that Manny’s father is probably feeding information and using political influence to save his inept son’s coaching career. This is despicable. They should run each of these people off of the board in favor of those that actually care about the program and not themselves. @tadfootball said it the other day and he is 100% correct. We need genuine people and money has gotten in the way of picking the best people to represent…picking those that care, not those that give the most.

Frenk should have gotten out in front of this situation and explained the rumors are inaccuraate and his office is controling the process and when a decision is reached it will come out in an official University press release.
