Shout out to one of our greatest Canes--Adrian "Closebert"

AC is prime Goose Gossage, Eck and Mariano Rivera rolled into one on three days rest...

I wish South Florida kids felt the way about the Canes that AC does. We’d win the national title every year.

They wouldn't let that happen. We'd have the TALENT to win one every year, though.

Gotta add some lee Smith in there as well!!

Its too bad big Lee can't get any Cooperstown love....

Although he was a great closer,.. He was in a time where there were some even greater pitchers. That was in the time of the Doc Gooden, Nolan Ryan was still in his prime, Fernando Valenzuela, there was quite a few good ones back then.

Lee Smith was definitely as intimidating as they came in that era though.

I think that this entire page should be moved over to the Wizard's Den and we should leave this thread specifically to give AC his props for being a true Cane.

BTW, Trevor Hoffman was pretty good himself!

What does that mean?

Colbert transferred from Texas. Coburn is considered a Texas lean. Jack thinks Adrian can influence his decision. Would love if that were true, but Adrian is joining in on this visit, while Coburn visited 2 weeks ago, so not sure how that helps.

We might not need Adrian with Coburn....just sayin'.

I remain an optimist.

We might be facing an epic close...CMR might have learned it from Bowden.

No inside info...just a hunch from following these wars since 1985.
