Should've never made himself DC...

Every Canes fan knows that the 01 team coached and disciplined themselves. IT did not matter who was the HC at that time, we were going out knocking heads. Some of these freshmen seem to have some of those same qualities. Had those players had the support of the coaches, we would at worst be 9-1 right now. (Also assumes that this group was playing all season as well.) These guys are the goods. With the right coach, I think that within 2 years we could be looking at a natty

For Diaz to bring in another DC would be admitting his scheme has failed and his ego would not allow that to happen.
 
I doubt it has been the players since quite a few have succeeded in the NFL, it has been coaching and not developing talent. We've seen young players regress.
