Don't know why people would say 'no'. You don't have to enter the classified section if you don't want to sell/buy anything.

On another site that I'm on, there is an 'ignore' feature on OT/Political/Classified sections where you can make those threads invisible unless you choose to opt in.

Also, male the classified section an elevated level of access, say, the poster has to have 100 posts in order to opt in. This will limit scammers/spammers.
