Short and sweet ( positive )

Ummm; that’s a pretty big area, don’t u think? Lol.

Also; for the fans that have been completely bashing Kaaya, did u see anything similar w Williams?
Williams showed escapability in the pocket, something Kaaya never had. As soon as he learns to throw the **** ball away I think he'll have a better career here than Kaaya.

We didn’t quit , fought the entire game. While having bad **** keep happening. Teams in the past would’ve rolled over and just said “ f it”.

That’s something culturally manny is focused on fixing.

So there’s that.
Fair enough

I was impressed Williams didn’t even throw a pick yesterday. There was not 1 throw that was nearly picked either if I recall correctly. Most passes were exactly where they needed to be, even if he had problems holding onto the ball too long and whatnot.

Bottom line, win or lose yesterday, is this is a rebuilding year guys. Let’s just call it as it is. With that OL we aren’t beating the Clemson’s of the world any time soon. Everyone needs to temper expectations. What we need to focus on is improvement every week, maybe win the Coastal, don’t get punkd by Clemson, win our bowl game and have positive momentum going into offseason. That will show us if Manny is the right guy.

More aggressive and far less disciplined. Well I suppose the good news is that going from gutless to mentally retarded is an upgrade.

I haven’t been this excited in a long time. Even when we beat ND and were on our winning streak under Richt, I didn’t think we were a Great football team. With the talent we have currently, a great recruiting class and a real quarterback, we have a chance to be great again. Manny is the right guy. The defense and offense are headed in the right direction from a coaching perspective. It’s not easy installing a new system with a bunch of freshman and sophomores. Winning against uf wasn’t going to make or break this era. Establishing a culture of passion and staying within the moment is what truly happened last night. It’s the first step in a long journey. Great first step.

The only bad thing about the last part is UF is not a good team , they’ll win 7-8 games tops. Luckily our schedule sucks, so we can maybe make it to 9.

But neither team is good , we need way more talent and depth.
I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure neither team is good quite yet. Both teams made a ton of mistakes and did their best to give the game away, but those are fixable problems. To say neither team is good is to assume neither team will fix those problems, and it's too early to know that.

Personally I'd rather have our problems than theirs. Our QB faced a ton of pressure and didn't turn the ball over, while there's did several times. We might see some OL development, modified play calling, and/or our QB getting the ball out quicker, any of which could have made this a much more enjoyable game. But those fcks are stuck with a panicked-***, mistake prone QB, and that's not gonna change. He's not going to suddenly learn to be cool under pressure.

I'm not as convinced as you are, but I get your point. I think the next game will tell us a lot about the staff's ability to coach players up and get them to fix their mistakes. They've got time, now the question is will they be able to fix enough stuff, or did we just see what this team will be all year. The past few years, our team has had one identity per year and they've stuck with it. Let's hope Manny has brought the ability to change bad habits and improve.

I just don’t think either team is deep or talented or enough to be quality teams. Both are super thin and will have certain issues all year.

Beans and franks will continued to be garbage. Our o can improve but will be up and down. That’s just youth.

That's reasonable. I'm taking the optimistic view that we've got the pieces we need, we just need to fix execution.

Per usual the fans overrated this team , we have huge issues at important positions. We’ll get better and grow but we can literally lose to anyone in the coastal.

We need this 20 class bad to infuse depth and talent , too thin and too many holes. With the depth issue it could get ugly with a few injuries.

It’s just being real. Nine wins would a nice season.
Anyone in the coastal? UNC, Duke, Georgia Tech are all games that we'll be heavily favored in. We'd have to really just play terribly to lose those. Think that there's a bit of overreaction there. Florida is definitely the most talented team we'll see in the regular season and we had them in week 1 with all of our youth.

What I’m saying is that the fans blamed Kaaya for missing those game winning moments. We had 2 opportunities to seize control and Williams took inexcusable sacks.

Here’s my point; this board gave Kaaya 0 excuses even when he was a true freshman w a **** poor defense, and a questionable OL; yet they r capping for Jarren. That’s my point.

There’s better passing teams and qbs out there that’ll put pressure on our weaknesses. Honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if unc has more yards passing than beans / franks.

We have to many issues to think we can’t trip up to anyone in the acc. Can we win most of those games ? Yes, but we’re very flawed and can bite us.

Average to bad Gabe’s can’t happen , luckily UF was just as much of an abortion as us last night.

You right about that, Kayaa had an unreal amount of haters. Dude was thrown to the wolves a month after showing up to campus , with a horrible d and ol. I never got the hate , maybe he didn’t “ look the way some folks preferred”.

The hate was weird.

All I’m saying bro. Til this day they hate on him but gave both Kosi & now Williams pass after pass. Just be consistent. I think J Dub will be just fine; but we have him a pass b/c of The OL. Kaaya gots no passes.

I guess my belief is that most teams outside of Bama and Clemson are like this. That's just the parity that is college football.

We have more talent than every squad in the coastal and we had the benefit/detriment of the Week 0 matchup against a similarly talented team. I just expect this team to improve over the course of the season versus regressing or being the same team that we saw last night.

I honestly believed the game was over after the first Florida drive that resulted in a TD. We had a strong first drive that resulted in 3 points and our D shut em down right after. We're ready to get off the field and see if our offense can build on that first drive but....

Then Florida busts out a fake punt within their own territory (ballsy move). Bad coaching from our side; chalking that up to inexperience from Manny. Shortly after, we blow a bunch of tackles and give up a long TD run. Previous teams fold right there and the game ends up being a blow out. I was ready to call it a night because that's how I'm programmed to react.

Yes, a loss is a loss. And there's no sugar coating it. But it was encouraging to see we had a chance to win up until that final drive. We know how to fight...now we just have to learn how to win. Maybe that's all Manny becomes; a coach that will teach his team how to be resilient but can't figure out how to win. Maybe he gets the team to take that next step. We don't know yet. But we'll find out soon.

The UNC game will tell me a lot about Manny. If we come out and struggle to get a win or even god forbid, lose, then I'll honestly hop off the bandwagon. It's just more of the same. But if we end up blowing out UNC then I think we're on the right path.
