Short and sweet ( positive )

Awful analysis here.

The DL completely stuffed the run. All 4 starters were ranked among our top 6 players last night by PFF - led by Patchan. Would've been nice to get a few more sacks but (1) their QB is good at avoiding sacks, (2) there weren't a ton of snaps in the game, and (3) their pressure led directly to the Finley pick, and influenced the other TOs.

“ Awful analysis “ is ironic , you’re so lost and clueless it’s hilarious.

Also reading comprehension my friend , I said the run d was good” was good in the post you responded too.

We lost to the 8th ranked team as an in ranked team by 4 and most likely would have won if not for two inexcusable mistakes in Thomas fumble and baca missed fg

Yet people here are *****ing and moaning like we lost duke
UF is an 8-4 team who gifted us 4 TOs and 4 different attempts at scoring on that last drive.

They are a dumb, poorly run team from where I was sitting.

Stop w the 8th ranked bull****. That ain’t no top 10 team.

Now they need to learn to win. The Blades penalty and the chop block costed us 30 yards in field on the last series. Last year LSU punched us in the mouth and we folded like a cheap suit. We can back twice. Just need to learn to finish it.
The learn to win part of this ⬆️ is huge. Winning breeds more winning. Unfortunately losing can do the same thing. When we were excellent and had Half *** u's number every year, it's because our dudes knew how to win. They didn't believe they could lose. Half *** u didn't believe like The U did. There's a reason for the wide rights and wide left

I believe the main thing holding Jarren Williams from being named starter earlier was the O-Line and his inability to get rid of the ball quickly. That combo lead to a lot of sacks this spring game. It was why the scramblers had an edge for so long. Other than that, the guy looks solid and wasn't rattled. He doesn't throw into dangerous coverage. Our O-line reminds me of the Kyle Wright days.

Go watch the first qt, early second again guy, it could’ve gotten away super early. Could’ve easily been 21-3.
Just like LSU last year bro. It was close early and then bam **** got tough we basically laid down and it was like 27-3 at half. Instead we battled and made the most of our opportunities to make some plays and put some points on the board. This game could have easily been LSU of last year and because of the coaching it did not.

I’ll be honest , the dl really let me down. No pressure or sacks from front four. Only blitzing was causing pressure. Garvin was non existent , Patchan is more run stopping , motor and hustle. Rousseau should’ve had a few tfl and a sack. Hill rarely played. Miller is non existent as pass rusher, same with Ford. I saw zero explosion or twitch from interior guys.

Hunte and blissett might be in sooner than later. Especially versus pass.
This d-line is just different. 3 of the 4 starters aren't pass rushers. They seem to be much better vs the run which is good. The pass rush will get better as hill gets going and rousseau plays more.

Did we watch the same football game? Patchan looked great, they couldn’t run the ball and franks was getting the back out so quick sacks were hard to come by. How could you possibly have this much bad stuff to say about our defense last night ?

Agree. I didn’t get lining Rousseau up at dt on pass downs , he’s so long and tall there’s not a lot of leverage there.

I figured there’d be one *** that doesn’t get it.

We were in a danger zone early in the game , UF was driving multiple times and could’ve easily jumped up 21-3. While getting hit was a power shot early on that long td , while refs missed an awhile holding call. UF was driving the next two drives after that play , the team could’ve crumbled in such an emotional game.

Which has been common around here.
You're to generous calling this guy a ***...

I think they are trying to figure out how to have him, garvin, and hill on the field together on passing downs.

Are you guys even reading my post? The pass rush was awful , that’s supposedly our strength. And the scheme is built to get constant pressure.

The only pressure we got was franks holding on to the ball forever , he’s awful. There was guys open but we changed coverage to constantly make him go through progression , which he can’t do.

As 252 said “ hill and Rousseau will need a lot more burn”. Or we’ll get killed by real qbs. The pocket was there unless we blitzed.

That’s just facts , their ol actually gave him more than enough time.

He just sucks.

We were in the game from the very beginning so why would they quit? Stop speaking about could haves. We could have blocked for Jarren and scored 50 points.
Hey Slappy do you not follow the team? We all knew we were starting some young OL players. We hoped for the best and it didn't pan out in the first game. It's called development....

Facts. We got sh*t to fix For sure. We gave the game away due to too many mistakes ultimately but we stood toe to toe against and didn’t look overMatched anywhere on the field other than our oline blocking their front 7.
I got news for you Brock, what's getting lost in the OL debacle is that while the DL was stout in stopping the run, those newbie **** gators on their OL did all right in pass pro. That's concerning.

Then your statement makes even less sense? How can the DL have "really let you down" when they were excellent in run defense, which is arguably their most important responsibility? Especially in this game?

Pass rush was meh but we also didn't appear to blitz much. We spied the QB a bit more than we have traditionally. There was also a trade-off with personnel.

LOL when people say "go watch the game". It means "I can't defend my position on the basis of data, logic, and concrete evidence. Instead I'll challenge you to do something that will in no way bring closure to this discussion, but at least allows me to hide behind a flimsy argument"

Well looking at the schedule i don't see any qb to be worried about.

Cribby I don't always agree with your ***, but you are on the fcking money. I'm equally worried about this DL. We play any team with a servicable OL right now, it's gonna be ugly.
