First of all I find myself checking the vibe out here on this sight at least three times a day. There is alot of knowledge and Hurricane passion here and I love it. Of the many things I have learned from these pages, the thing that sticks out the most to me is player development. I have to admit, that before spending time on this site, I judged these young players by the stars they have been awarded by the recruiting services (I'm not knocking them, but some are better than others). Several posters on this site have pointed out that player development is more important than the star acquisitions and I find myself agreeing with them. I saw a 5 Star LB in the 2014 class (FSU commit) competing against a kid that at the time was barely a 3 star in the same class (Darrion Owens). At the end of that scrimmage I knew that these recruiting services where not astronomers, because they had mis-aligned some significant stars. It would have been obvious to Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles that Darrion was a much better LB, Football Player, Athlete and Person than the 5 star. Again these services put in work and sometime, the only thing we have to go on, about a player are the stars they are adorned with. However I know for a fact that with the proper development, that 3 star will out shine that 5 star any day of the week. I watched the Hudl film of all the LBs listed in Rivals 2016 Top250 and started comparing them to Shaq's film... but then I thought I would be bias, so I started comparing them to Mike Pinkney's footage (still a bit bias) and honestly I felt that most of the LBs on the list are not as good as Mike and again I realize the stars have been mis-aligned. I'll get to my point before this turns into a novel... The staff at Miami needs to be confident in which ever scheme that they decide to execute and commit to it. Find the players they know will fit into that scheme both physically and mentally (don't have to look far, they are right in the back yard ask Schnellenberger) and developed them regardless of the stars they have acquired and WIN. Florida and in particular South Florida is one of the greatest pools for football players. If you don't believe just look at the hometown on some of the rosters in the league. It so thick with talent that alot of the athlete are over shadowed. IMO a 3 star in FL is = to 5 star in other parts of the country (again I'm a bit bias), for example the DE Shelton Johnson is a diamond in the rough... get him and develop another NFL stud. Shooting Stars are not that important take a look at the SeaHawk's Roster - http://nationalhsfootball.com/2014/01/how-the-seattle-seahawks-players-were-ranked-in-high-school/
