He said he has a great source who told him the following:

Practice was a country club the two weeks before Louisville. No intensity.

Mario has told Dawson to play conservative so that we have long offensive drives. Mario has told Dawson this bc we need to help the defense so they can rest due to lack of depth. Mario didn’t want a Cam Ward offense where the defense gets no rest bc we are scoring so quickly.

Also told him Beck is freelancing trying to play his way into the NFL. He’s not following the gameplan. Sounded like he’s been told Beck is starting the selfish, uncoachable crap he did at UGA. Not great….

Don’t shoot the messenger

Who’s responsible for the depth on the roster? After 4 years….

After 4 years and millions of dollars spent on recruiting and signing HS and portal transfers.

Here is an idea, score a bunch of points so that you can rotate more players on both sides of the ball, thereby giving starters more rest, less wear and tear plus added bonus of his giving backups much needed playing time.

If this is indeed about Mario slowing down the offense, then he's an imbecile.

Whether or not his source is right or if this is nonsense, how can anyone argue they’ve decided to play a certain conservative, predictable way?
This.

It’s been the theme all season. You do not play ball control at the expense of points. Trust your defense and put points on the board. Besides, Louisville not only put more points on us but they won the time of possession. SMH.

100%. Never understood the "play conservative to save your defense" approach. Score loads of ******* points and it's not an issue.

Plus the fact our defensive strength is quite literally playing with a lead and rushing the passer and getting home with just 4... Like you want the other team to have to pass as much as possible. We just got like 7 portal DBs. We have two of the best edge pass rushers in CFB this season....

1000% believe Mario told Dawson this

It’s clear as day we’re playing a slower, beat up the opponent style that Mario has told us he loves.

Cam was an alpha QB who wasn’t having non of that bs, and basically did a Peyton Manning and ran his own offense.

I know Dawson is praying for any job at this point, at the end of the year to get away from this man

I believe some of that but doubt the country club rumor.

The offense is obvious. I actually think protecting your depth on D, especially #3 and #4 is wise because we'll need them and it's a long season. It's not a terrible strategy but Mario doesn't know when to turn it off when the team needs to just go out and score points.

I doubt the Beck rumors are fully true because being uncoachable is a sure fire way not to get drafted, regardless of what you show on the field. If Kirby smart and Mario are both telling NFL scouts that Carson is uncoachable, he's not getting a high draft grade. But I definitely know Carson wants to reverse the narrative around him and get back into the early first round conversation so he's taking shots he shouldn't be taking..we can see that on the field.
