For all the haters and drive-by artists this might be hard to stomach, but the most recent ESPN rankings have the Canes at #8. We're actually #3 if you exclude SEC programs, the obvious fair-haired child of recruiting analysts/insiders and ESPN. So based on this, we're ahead of Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, Clemson, Texas . . . mildly stunning accomplishment based on our regular-season finish, Louisville fiasco, Penn State flirtation and late recruiting drama.

Try not to start with a cheap, trite, expression and you will sound more like an adult. You could have made your point without it.

Wow. You're right. The last 10 threads just like this one didn't convince me, but this one did.

Truth meet middle ground between the extremes above. Welcome.

every year we had unexpected surprises. Grimble, ivery, eddie johnson, etc.

As far as florida, they have done nothing really to address lack of play making ability on offense.

Why would we be excluding the SEC?

If you have a crootin first staff instead of a coaching first staff then you gotta be able to fight thru and overcome the bagman, otherwise there is no point to having a crootin first staff.

LULZ at this Tony Robbins ****. Stopped reading at "we're number 3 if you exclude SEC teams". That's the biggest sign that UM fans have turned too soft for their own good.

You could have also kept this point to yourself as it couldn't be any more unnecessary. Try a different username,Chuckles, you will sound and appear more as an adult.

1 Alabama

3 Florida State
4 LSU
5 Tennessee
6 Ohio State
7 Florida
8 Miami (FL)
9 Auburn
10 Georgia
11 Notre Dame
12 Michigan
13 Clemson
14 Texas
15 Ole Miss
16 Oklahoma
17 Arizona State
18 Baylor
19 Stanford
20 Kentucky

So are we going to play better than Stanford? Clemson? Georgia? Auburn?

Now I'm even more depressed.

And if you exclude the 1-7 teams we're actually number 1....**** YEAH WE BACK!!!

We are recruiting enough talent to become a perennial top 20 team again with adequate coaching. If we can become that again in the next few years we will snag a lot more elite South Florida recruits. No more NCAA cloud, no more FAU level defense, no more bowl game embarrasments, no more PSU rumors all still holding this program back from closing strong.

In all seriousness do you actually realize that this loser mentality is basically the same as saying you don't care about national titles anymore. Lets just give the title to the SEC champ and we can play for the NON-SEC TITLE.

I guess your super stoked that we won 9 games last year.

Man when did Miami fans forget what Miami was about?
