SHOCKER!!! The Big Ten is going to cave.

Tom Mars looking to bring the major Big Ten boosters into the battle:

Do we not think the actual power player boosters at each school aren't tied into at minimum what has transpired at their institution on this front?

I'm personally very skeptical of anything Tom Mars puts out as being anything more than an attempt to shape public opinion and more importantly boost his own profile since he's basically just an attorney that injected himself into this whole debacle.

Word is Kevin Warren hired a "crisis PR team" to handle all communication with national media. Yesterday's absolute sh*t show of social media posts, etc. seemed to drive that decision.

The expectation is the Presidents and Chancellors of Big Ten schools WILL hold some kind of 'vote' either Friday or Saturday. There is a scheduled Conference call between Presidents/Chancellors already scheduled for Friday so it is unknown if a vote will occur then or take place in a separate call on Saturday. It is being speculated that the vote will include the ability for a school to "opt out" of playing, regardless of how they vote. The vote could be 6 to 10 teams will opt in to play and 4 to 8 teams will opt out. Those who may "opt out" would include Maryland, Rutgers, Michigan State, Minnesota, Illinois and Northwestern . Those who likely decide to play include OSU, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, Indiana and Michigan.
It is believed that behind the scenes there has been pressure on all Presidents to vote in favor of playing , thus getting a unanimous vote. The "out" for those who don't want to play is the "opt out" loophole.

The schedule could end up being a 10 game conference only schedule if the number of opt-out schools are on the lower end. Otherwise a schedule with a home-away series with schools could be crafted.

It sounds like there is a strong belief that IF the Big Ten votes to begin fall sports, especially football, immediately - October 10th is the date being thrown around- the lawsuit initiated against the Big Ten by the Nebraska football players will be dropped. Warren and the Presidents/Chancellors do NOT want to continue forward with the latest court ordered discovery and the possibility of perjury unveiled due to the signed affidavit of a previous "vote".
Vote will be Monday. Here’s the update, 9 will vote yes, 5 will vote no but the conference has yet to decide if the vote must be unanimous or a majority. My source has been pretty solid on this matter dating back to July. Last vote was 11 no, 3 yes. Lot going on way behind the scenes

Your little10 has gone from being a clown show, to a full on shlt show.

Dude I’m just stating some facts and passing along some info I have nothing to do with the conference other than some blood works at a fairly high level.
i’m not blaming you.

But let’s be honest, and I’m not saying this to be a jerk, you had literally dozens of posts defending their decision and arguing its wisdom.

As it turns out it was a dumb fūcking decision, they tried to pressure the other P5 leagues into canceling their seasons, and now it’s all turned to shlt on them.

They tried to justify it based on bullshlt and massaged medical information.

If you can’t see this has a been a complete shlt show, I don’t know what to tell you.

There was a discussion over Covid and Myocarditis. Here is a study posted yesterday.

They'll do anything to justify their original vote.

If they vote Monday it's to prevent turning over the discovery they owe the Nebraska court. Deadline was today but they get until Monday since it's a weekend.

I would guess if they try to justify their original vote they will vote no again and that’s not happening as the 11-3 no will be 9-5 yes! The Wexner Center is not a vets office, their concerns are valid and have been since July. We will see what happens. If this was so easy I’m sure they’d be playing and the VTs of the world would not be canceling games. The Midwest and East are a different animal in the fall. If this was a no brainer the Steelers certainly would allow a percentage of fans at home games, last time I checked zero is zero % and that’s what they are allowing for the first two home games.

No disrespect intended, but you’re still trying to justify their decision. Now by citing a Columbus propaganda piece full of bullshīt medical information, written by a C- student that majored in journalism and has third grade knowledge of medical science.

Thanks for making my point for me about you trying to justify their total nonsense decision.

Meanwhile, the most respected names in cardiology and medical science are saying “PLAY“

At least you’re consistent in your caping for the Little10.
