I’m certainly no fan of the B1G but I do have some empathy for the players. All their hard work and dedication is going down the drain because of some dumbass bureaucrats.
 
This should officially end any talk of caving or bowing to political pressure. They put this out today for a reason. The speculation post their commissioner's clownshow call with Trump was getting out of hand.

This is absolutely the worst case of misinformation and anecdotal bullshlt, basically hearsay, being put out as actual information. It’s total misinformation.

Where is the data?

Read the article and click on the links within the article. You will be amazed at how flimsy and literally specious this is.

They are really getting desperate if they are resorting to this type of leaked misinformation, and pure bullshlt.

HIPAA gurantees they'll never have to back it up. I'd love to see one of the schools that has had players with covid report their findings.

Looks like Parth Upadhyaya, Penn State junior beat writer for the world renowned Centre Daily Times, is on top of things.

The best part is, this college student/tide pod eater and internship candidate, actually writes “new data” when in fact there is NO DATA at all. It’s one mouthpiece doctor with an agenda saying things like “there appears to be” and “we think”.... yet the rest of the medical community is just totally unaware, especially people actually treating thousands of patients.

I personally wasn't really attempting to debate the merits or lack thereof of any of it (but have no objection to you guys doing it). Just reading the p-r currents and think this is that league sticking the final fork in any speculation/hopes of them playing at all in 2020.

Are you suggesting that it's unlikely that college athletes, at a young age and in peak physical condition, aren't suffering from a rare side effect of viral infections at a rate not seen in the general population, not even the elderly and infirmed? How dare you deny science.

I think there are competing interests within the Big Ten, and this is one side throwing its salvo to justify no football. Because you can’t deny the fact that there are people within the schools trying to start the season back up - whether it’s late September or early October. Restarting is an actual serious discussion point, that obviously some within are trying to tamp down.

As far as debating the merits or lack thereof, this is as bad as the conspiracy theory that say Covid is a nefarious plot.

This is literally joke science, and I’d like to see somebody try to debate me on it, because there literally is NO DATA being presented, just hearsay meant to achieve a purpose

I think the competing interests as far as full fledged universities in conjunction with their athletics departments that are pro-play now are Nebraska and Iowa. Then you have OSU as a junior partner with their administration somewhat onboard but also occasionally hedging. Then you add in whatever coaches and AD's at other schools agree.

The problem is that they're obviously up against all the remaining university presidents and I think Pedo State going public today with this just reiterates where they all stand and they're going to win this power struggle every time.

Michigan governor has lifted her ban on High School football. Looks like good news for Michigan- Michigan state in terms of re- vote tomorrow in the Big Ten
