Sherrone Moore - fired for cause

I know Warde personally and we have numerous close friends together as we were all at U of Michigan at the same time, so my judgment on this issue is likely clouded by that.
I don’t hold Warde responsible for Harbaugh and that cheating. Everyone at Michigan sold their soul for that championship.
Juwan Howard is a favorite son of the school (also at Michigan with me), and everyone likes him. So it was inevitable that he would get a 2nd chance. But eventually Juwan had to go.

And I grew up in Ann Arbor and attended Huron High (rival of Pioneer so no love lost there). I’m biased for a lot of reasons. In the end I don’t want Warde to lose his job, but I’m not objective on this issue.
Sounds lime he's going to go...

Obviously don’t know the AD & don’t want anyone losing their job, but too much craziness within the athletic program in recent years for him to survive. Sounds like latest situation wasn’t a well kept secret. Get the fact both previously denied the affair. So, it didn’t raise a red flag when the lady friend was granted a 55% raise? Who initiated or signed off on it? Anyone ever check cell records? Again, the program’s recent history has been an embarrassment & it comes back on the AD.
I can’t disagree with any of the arguments being made on CIS. I just have a blind spot on this issue.

Released on $25k bond with GPS device, no alcohol/marijuana, ordered to continue mental treatment. This was apparently UM’s THIRD investigation into Moore’s alleged associations with various women which some of the NIL donors had been hearing about.

Well, you see there's this little matter of attorneys getting involved, and folks outside of the athletic program who don't necessarily place the athletic department's desire to sweep their embarrassing misdeeds under the rug, see? Perhaps they take their duty to the school and even the lowly taxpayer seriously. There are folks like that in the world, you know. So as much as the scumbag AD would have loved to make that happen, he almost certainly didn't have the opportunity to do so.
Ok. The post I responded to put forth the theory that the athletic department paid Moore's paramour to change her story, so that they could then fire him without paying the buyout. I think that's extremely unlikely.

He probably intended to use the scissors first, and then the butter knives to spread the blood all over his body...

a Saban quote comes to mind, never **** with someone that has more to gain than you do from any situation. (the only verbatim aspect of that was the word **** obviously lol)

wish this guy hadn't ruined his entire career for this. his kids must also be dealing with all the humiliation now as well.

They wanted to fire Sherron’s so I’m wondering how much they paid this woman to come forward to get them out of paying the buyout…this been going on for over two years even while he was being named HC and now out of the blue she shows up?
or she figured out shes not the only sidepeace and wanted out and to be moved to a different department.

Yeah, if you let your imagination run wild you can create any number of alternate ideas about what went down. I do hope this case goes to trial and little miss not so hotty has to testify in open court.

This whole ridiculous "set up" conspiracy theory comes from the same weak-minded thinking that landed Sherrone Moore in jail.

Both the "set up" and the "you ruined my life" myths are based on the failure to take responsibility for one's actions and the pathetic desire to blame someone or something else for one's downfall.

Now, don't take this the wrong way. I'm not denying the fact that there are probably a lot of people involved with the University of Michigan (admins, alums, fans) who can find a silver lining in all of this drama. "Moore is gone, and for cause, yay!" Yes, but capitalizing on tragedy is still very different from causing the tragedy.

The bottom line here is that Moore having an affair with a direct report subordinate was wrong. It was against university policy and could have gotten him fired for cause at any point it was discovered. That's why there were denials of the relationship and lies as to whether it existed. Because everyone involved knew it was wrong and a violation of policy.

This female was employed at Michigan for years, even before Moore. And the relationship went on for years, even before Moore was head coach. So for some people to act like this was some sort of a set up based upon Moore being an unqualified and/or disliked head coach is disingenuous. And as for some of the other details, such as contacting an OnlyFans model during halftime of Michigan-Ohio State, Moore chose to do that on his own.

There's been no set up, even if many at Michigan are happy to see this downfall come about. Moore did this to himself and then was trying to blame the female for "ruining HIS life". As if her life is going to be so much better after all of this.

Possibly

Read an article pointing out in his position would spend a lot of time on campus and of course with her

Away games, recruiting etc. always on the go away from his family and his executive assistant always along
Yeah, I'd say it was pretty easy for him to hide that.

However, his dumbass following a bunch of OF hoes on his very public IG profile should've been a dead giveaway to her what kinda guy he is.
